Ok.
At what price are Nigerians still buying Fuel??
Has the price gone down below N1000 per litre yet? Why should we celebrate Dangote or PH refinery if we are still paying more for PMS

There was so much hype about Dangote refinery and how it was supposed to be the game changer that will ensure steady supply of fuel and crash in pump price.
Alas, Dangote Refinery came along and the reverse was the case - with spike in pump price amidst controversies. It was far from expectations as Nigerians were made to pay even higher despite products being refined locally and costs reduced.

Now it is PH Refinery being touted as the game changer to crash price and ensure only God knows what in the Petroleum sector!!!!

The dominant question is :
Why are Nigerians being forced to buy fuel over N1000/ per litre even when the products are refined locally?
There is no way fuel should cost more than N500 per litre in Nigeria given that we have the crude and we are refining locally.
Infact, if govt want to decide to refine crude and sell PMS at N300 per litre, it can. But some wicked criminals in govt want to milk Nigerians and won't allow that to happen.
The fact remains that Nigerians are being scammed by both Dangote and the FG.

We shall know the truth later after the accusations and counter accusations about the authenticity of the operations of the refinery.

The truth is already there: the PH refinery rehabilitation was supposed to be completed in 42 months from 2019 when the contract was offered that both projects should be completed in 2024. The total cost was based on a $1.5 loan from AFRIM bank, and the contract was issued by Buhari and Mele Kyari. 5 years later, the old PH plant of 60K capacity is now being commissioned as a blending plant for imported fuel.

Mele Kyari should be arrested, and NNPC should be immediately scrapped.

Bro, the price of PMS depends on the value of the Naira/Dollar exchange rate. Take your complaint to the Tinubu government, which devalued Naira and your purchasing power.

PMS: ‘Nigeria Needs Intervention In Forex To Slash Pump Price To N600’

The Vice President, Crude, Argus Media, James Gooder, has said that fuel pump price in Nigeria can only reduce from the current price of over N1,000 to N800, N700 or N600 with better foreign exchange rate.

He noted that though crude prices at the international markets are failing, the price of fuel would still be high when calculated with naira/ dollar exchange rate.

He, therefore, said necessary measures should be taken to address the high conversion rate of the naira rate to the dollar so as to substantially reduce fuel pump price.

He spoke yesterday during a quarterly press webinar organised by the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) titled: ‘Market trends, transparency and fair pricing.’

The session was meant to provide valuable insight into the factors shaping fuel pricing, from global crude oil dynamics to local landing costs.

He said that with the resumption of operation by the Port Harcourt Refinery and the continued operation of the Dangote refinery, there will be product availability in the country. He also said that health competition would force down prices of petroleum products.

Gooder said: “We have heard that there is some discount being applied to the ex-depot price from Dangote. That suggests that they are becoming aware that they are in a competitive market.

In Nigeria, if you blend C5 with naphtha it's called refining hence the refinery is producing petroleum products. grin grin

Okay even if you wont allow yourself to understand what they have explained, is it the title "refinery" that concerns you or the supply of petrol in the country? As long as the said 200 trucks are loading actual petrol at the stated prices, who cares whether it was refined 100% or blended with crack cocaine?

Lol. Funny people.

Dangote refinery has forced PH refinery to work by force by fire. We need more privately owned refinery in the country. Infact, they should sell all the nation's refinery to private individuals and investors.

Abeggi, go sit down!

No oil in the Bay. The oil left in the facility about three years ago is what they are loading. No further blending. And this was corroborated by stakeholder of Alesa community where the refinery's domiciled.

No Oil please. Nigerians are being deceived by NNPCL.

Nigerians are gullible.

Nothing like loading Fuel at PH refinery. What's being loaded is old stock piled up in the facility three years ago.

The refinery ia still malfunctioning. Not yet fixed. And this was corroborated by Timothy Mgbere, Secretary Alesa Stakeholders, Host Community where the refinery's domiciled. This was in Arise TV News program monitored in Lagos this morning.

Therefore, the fanfare of the refinery coming upstream is a ruse, deceit. Only 6 trucks were loaded from 8am to 6pm yesterday in what they termed automatic loading machine which is a lie.

Don't be deceived please!

Taaaa !!!
Shut the fvck up and don't say a word on what you don't know.
Dollar bend your mouth for you there.
FX (Naira/dollar) only comes to play where there is international trade. It doesn't apply to domestic trade.
Crude is gotten in Nigeria, Refining of crude is done in Nigeria, so wetin concern FX Dollar in the matter?.
Are you buying crude outside Nigeria to pay in dollars or are you refining outside and importing the refined product to pay in dollars,?
Stop listening to all the lies you hear from Tinubu supporters. No FX is involved in domestic production and trade.
So keep your mouth shut about dollars influencing refined products domestically.
