Chief you are missing the point here, the bill has so many sections, you shouldn't be deceived by SENATOR NDUME statement on the tax exemption by certain classes who earn below a million, Ndume failed to remind us that he only opposed the bill because state will only be paid a certain percentage of what the generated as revenue, meaning the more you generate revenue the more percentage of what you will be given as allocation, this will in turn affect the north because they ban so many goods and stuff ( Sharia) in their region but still share the tax and revenue generated from that So if this scale up they will be forced to stop and rethink on how to embrace development into their state rather than allowing Hisbah determine what is bad and good, yet do not reject the money that comes wit it This also will help identify those governors with zero sense of how to attract investment into their states as state will be forced to provide for themselves rather waiting for other states like rivers, delta and Lagos to bring the bulk of money to the table for all states to share 6 Likes 1 Share |

This country is very funny. Nigeria is a federal republic, meaning every level of government is meant to be autonomous. Every state should be independent generating their resources. We shouldn't be deliberating what is meant to be 1 Like |

I think the decision of the Supreme Court of a country is as good as a Law. What deliberation again? |

We shouldn't deliberate the decision of the Supreme Court. I believe it is easy to comprehend. If you don't have any thing to do, legislate on laws to provide Nigerians pipe borne water to run in our homes. 1 Like |

These people are rogues. The supreme court has declared local council autonomy, what else are you discussing? Are they saying the court order won't be complied with until they amend their constitution? Wasn't it the court so interpreted in that judgement? Which kain nonsense be that? |
Re: Reps To Hold National Dialogue On LG Autonomy Next Week by seunayantokun(m): 3:07am On Nov 30 |
MightySparrow:I think some wicked rogue governors and politicians who don't want to obey the judgement of the supreme court are pushing the nonsense. |
