Igala Youths Reject Inclusion In Ipob’s Proposed Biafra by Paraman: 9:08pm On Dec 02, 2024 |
The Igala Youth Council has dissociated the Igala from being referred to as one of the states in the proposed United States of Biafra by the Indigenous People of Biafra. The organisation condemned IPOB for including the Igala nation in their proposed “United States of Biafra” without their consent. This was contained in a statement issued on Monday and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Kogi State capital. “This strong stance was taken during an emergency meeting held on December 1, 2024, in response to a viral video outlining IPOB’s plan for a 40-state Biafran nation,” the statement noted. The statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Michael Joshua, emphasised that the Igala people were never consulted or invited to discuss this proposal, and therefore, rejected IPOB’s attempt to include them in their secessionist agenda. The council stressed, “The Igala nation demands good governance for all its people within the Nigerian nation, rather than being dragged into IPOB’s madness. “It’s worth noting that IPOB’s actions have been a subject of controversy, with some viewing their agitation as a legitimate cry for self-determination, while others see it as a threat to national unity. “The group’s methods, including the imposition of a weekly ‘sit-at-home’ order, have been criticised for their disruptive impact on the economy and daily life in the Southeast region.” The council leadership called on Igala across the globe to ignore the claim from the IPOB group and go about their lawful business in Nigeria. https://punchng.com/igala-youths-reject-inclusion-in-ipobs-proposed-biafra/ 5 Likes 3 Shares |

There is nothing wrong in any group deciding on what to accept where to join and where not to, the IPOB group whoever they are must take note of this, if you don't want anyone to force anything over you, you must not Force anything over anyone else, if you refuse independence to people around you, it will be an insult to others if you go to other countries and ask for independence for those that you think others are forcing to be where they are. The IPOB directors must learn to leave out anyone or group that doesn't want to join , there are things you don't force people to do, the IPOB leaders must accept that there are people who see the CHAINS AND SHACKLES on their hands and legs as ornaments of gold and diamond and there are others who don't know the value of diamonds and gold if they see them. Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you. The igala youths, if these ones are their real representatives just said they are comfortable in nigeria, so IPOB should not force them, and if their problem is that they should be consulted FIRST, I don't know |

These ones are even worried about ipob that is confused. State creation doesn't usually get finished at Biafra. Where are the ones created by kanu? Where are the ones created by ekpa? Ipob is full of confusion, they don't even know their boundaries. All their intrinsic aims are to target continuing donations and content creation via blogging Biafrans for money. They are bunch of deceivers that had choosen the path of self deceit. Igala should ignore them; they should be seen as noise makers. 7 Likes |

Never4getU:I think you are the one that need to console yourself, you expect every IGBO person to to support everything about IPOB so that you see opportunities to troll all IGBOS, I feel you are sorely disappointed here, where in this my comment did I call the igala people am IGBO people or support the forcing of any group into Biafra or IPOB? Your disappointment here is NAKED. Fortunately I stand by every single thing I said in my comment, I don't want to believe you are among those IPOB "are forcing" to be part of Biafra, and if by any chance you are, you will see where I said, that they should not force anyone, I wouldn't know if it's inability to comprehend a simple statement that made you to think I am calling igala people IGBO people, but if they or some of them decide that they are IGBO, things like you will not stop them and no propaganda will, you really need to stop thinking with your fingers. |
