Brilliant007:It's a 20 to 23 year old car. It will have issues. The trick is to buy one with a sound body and then factor in the price for replacing defecting drive trains. This should drive tour negotiation. Expecting to find a sound 2004 camry is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Just like the corolla of that same generation, most were used for ride hailing and have seen better days. There are still good specimens out there but they a few and far in between. When I sold mine, I didn't sell because it was defective. You have to be patient to get a 'sound' unit. As for toks, budget at least 9m and this is still very likely going to fall short unless you lower your standards especially with regards to mileage and body state (accident). I will suggest you go for the 2007 to 2011 model if you are going the tokunbo route vos it will cost almost the same in terms of purchase, trucking, shipping and clearing. All the best. 3 Likes |

njelrapheal: Your choice is the limitation here, a 2004 car is a very old car if you ask me, most registered big daddy you will see have a long date of naija plate ... so it not a surprise they are having engine problems, people believe toyota is rugged and thats how they use it ![]() if you want naija used cars like buy n drive you will have to setup the model/year ... check cars pertinent to yahoo boiz , lexus, muscle, spider, venza, honda , benz its much easier to get buy n drive from those options, think cars that compel pampering thats where to find buy n drive the most |

Love800:There's really nothing wrong if the accident wasn't serious. If it's just maybe a side or bumber accident, I'd say it's OK to buy it once it's been repaired and sprayed. But if the car was involved in a head-on-collision with another car, chances are that the engine might be damaged. Meaning the dealer would buy a nigerian used engine probably from ladipo to insert into the car and sell it to you as tokumbo. Also if the car was involved in a flood. Like the recent flooding that happened in Spain. Hundreds of those flooded cars would end up in the African car market. The problem with these cars is that if you buy them. You'll fix electrical issues until you get fed up and sell it. That's why it's always good to run a Vin check on the car you're buying so that you can know it's true state. 4 Likes |

Tallesty1: Just realised I muddled it up with Corolla. But this is Big Daddy right? It is still crazy a good used one can't be gotten for 4.5m. What is the annual salary of most entry level jobs in Nigeria? PDPGuy: You may not realise how bad it got in the past 2-3 years until you compare prices of goods and services. 5 Likes |

Lols ...if not inflation, what will one be thinking with a Nigerian used car that is worth nothing ![]() You can only be lucky to buy from someone who bought a tukunbo and wants to sell off due to lack of fund or something.... 1 Like |

Any 2004 car will have high mileage running over 200,000km. With Our poor maintenance culture any car over 200k mileage is in need of Serious repairs. A tokunboh of 300k miles is far healthier. |
