The Nigeria Police Force says its officer captured in a viral video where the Nigeria’s local currency, naira was abused has been identified and detained.

DAILY POST reports that a video clip that captured the officer alongside a businessman, identified simply as Chief Okoya, recently went viral.

In the video, the officer was sighted giving aide to the businessman while the currency was being abused.

NPF in a terse statement on its official Facebook page on Friday said the officer has been taken into custody for subsequent disciplinary action.

The post reads, “The policeman captured in the recent viral video shared by the sons of the lagos businessman, Chief Okoya, where they were abusing the naira, has been identified and detained for disciplinary action.

“The involvement of the policeman has been condemned, as it’s unethical.

“We will always strive hard to uphold the sanctity, credibility, and core values of the police”.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if the primary suspect has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

If the police officer knows his work... he should be the one to arrest the dude in the first place. But he didn't. Rather, he joined him. The only offence you commit being a Nigerian is to be poor.

Doesnt matter now as he himself has been arrested

Yesterday, I saw a thread on one U.S police who rap*d a prisoner or whatever, i glanced through and didnt see this kinda logic twisting comment of yours on that thread

I guess you all worship foreigners so much you'd never dare say shii when they misbehave but you suddenly become a philosopher when it happens in Nigeria and yea, I know you are based in Europe yourself

Even the Okoyas should not be exonerated.
They should also trace & prosecute bankers involved in the racket of selling mint Naira for people to abuse.

Nigeria Police was designed to serve the rich and oppress the poor.

Tell me why a policeman will act as a servant to a rich man and the same policeman will oppress a poor man.

Scapegoatcian.
Logically, the arrests should be the policeman and the money spender. Why arrest who appeared to be errand boy and leave the sender.
