She captioned the video: “And it’s only 100 naira! Plus, there are like four doors!”

Expressing her surprise, she added, “So UNILAG electric buses are real? Does this mean campus drivers will be out of business?”

The video also included shots of the bus interior and a bus arriving on campus.

As the video gained traction online, it sparked a variety of reactions, with many viewers sharing their thoughts in the comment section.

Here are some of the reactions:

Anita Squarepants: “Cab drivers are in trouble once we fully resume.”

Ninjanerd: “They won’t last long though, battery degradation… but I guess it can be replaced, so good for you all.”

Michealcurwell: “A bus without shock absorbers.”

kofoworola: “They should use that energy to renovate the hostels 😩😭😭😭.”

9jawap Mobile Community: “The real question is whether this is sustainable in the long run.”

𝓶✨: “No more fighting for the front or left seats 😭.”

Electric Vehicles have a set mileage they can cover per charge. That's issue.

Unlike fuel filling stations that are everywhere. . you can even buy the fuel in a gallon and pipe it into your vehicle's fuel tank yourself.

Even developed countries are still heavily struggling with adequate charging terminals.

If this is not the first time that mass transit is being implemented on campuses, do we know what is different about this new one from the previous ones that failed

This is a good initiative. Going Green shouldn't be by mouth only. Other campuses should take a cue from this as they are the citadel of knowledge and should always set the pace.

More so, the Lagos State government should increase the number of electric BRTS and expedite action on converting petrol BRT buses to CNG which will inadvertently reduce pollution in the state, save Lamata cost and reduce fares for lagosians.

Such buses should be plenty in the our universities. The payment should be factored into the school fee payment but subsidized

Investigate first

Though commendable if true

But why always Lagos?

Can't same be replicated in other SW states?
Abi no be the same Yoruba brain?

SW is the part of Nigeria where over 90% of them claim to come from Lagos

Glimpsetv:
A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.

One step at a time bro. Very soon Nigeria will powerbank for those buses. Trust us with that

Is the school thinking of making it free for students by including the cost in the tuition fees? That way it can reduce the burden of paying daily and also well discounted for the students whether or not a student choose to use the bus.

Optical illusion.

You only think it's 'fast' because you're seeing things that are new to the environment which only represents a microcosm of the state at large.

Replicate across all states in Nigeria especially our schools.

We are too far behind to be bitter, overly critical and envious. Every positive effort should be appreciated and improved upon.
