National assembly has become a burden on the country, the more reason we should abolish two house parliaments and make it only one parliament with only 109 members. |

Yes. It's redeemable, and that's by calling down hurricane fire on them when they assemble to share their corruptly looted national funds. |

Punch, how could you leave out the infamous phrase, distinguished senator, ‘off your mic’! It’s a presidency problem. Party affiliation is the bane of the problem. Simple solution: presidency controls INEC - INEC raises the bar, put strict filters to ensure certain characters never run for office ( it’s high time we had an electoral college). Presidency controls the Judiciary - ensure the courts discharge their duties with utmost diligence. Presidency controls EFCC… So if we’ve got corrupt legislators, the presidency is the cause and solution. |

![]() ![]() Why the types of thread dönt make the FP is not a surprise The Modus operandi of Nairaland is to pomote hateful lies & propaganda against out neigbours from the East while threads like this or the muslim yoruba-fulani man from Kogi state, an okun man willl be hidden from the FP. Every thread against our brothers from the East make the FP. Threads of fulani killing indigenous people & failed Tinubu don't make FP ![]() ![]() 1 Like |

How would they be redeemable when the electorates always churned out irredeemable people to man the affairs of the nation. Far from redeemable, the culture of patriotism is far from the mind of average Nigerian. In conclusion, we have irredeemable citizens that are not ready to savage the country but to continue in the rot. 1 Like |

JASONjnr:what about the people taking election into the assembly as serious as the presidency, thereby making sure that people elected are above board That's the starting point You can't elect people of questionable character and expect them to deliver good governance, that's not going to happen |

They'll rather die on standing on existing protocols rather than direct all zeal and energy through passionately serving and repping those that got them there. It then moves to luciferian pride and they get more disconnected from the realities of their people. They serve self interest despite knowing the ordeals of their people. They grow fat and wax in arrogance, doing all to attain immortality in the white edifice and take steps further up the pyramid. They mostly think roads and bridges are what their people need. They don't make any worthwhile decisions on healthcare and education that can be sustainable for a decade. Especially that healthcare. They made half hearted plans for agriculture because they don't believe they can build an empire there despite the lands available naturally. "Do you want us to protect you?". Rings like an echo through the milky way galaxy that solidifies what these guys are among themselves. If justice can't be served there, then redemption is far from them in all sincerity. Greed rules.. We have Cerseis and Daenerys in that chamber We have Stannis Baratheons and Tywins there. We don't even have a Jon Snow or Lady Olenna. There's no Lord Baelish and Varys cos they really aren't that smart actually. |

Don't only blame the national assembly ooo, these higher institution leaders are the most corrupt people. Take my school for instance, I work with the sug president then. he will tell me that can i believe that our schl only remit fees for 1500 student out of like 10000 student. The same thing like that for other school in that state to the extent that the governor of the state then proposed merging them together to cut expenses, but I'm sure they bribed their way out, till the governor left office without merging it. What should we call that ooo. |
