Any monthly remuneration below ₦1000,000 is poor and as it stands, I doubt if any government agency can pay that amount, NNPC and DPR inclusive.

even people wey dey drive taxi dey make $200 a day. I am not sure a full director's monthly salary is up to $700...... Consultants in government hospitals are not earning 1.2m per month..i no even sure say dem dey earn 1m

I can also tell you 2 bedroom apartment in Silver Spring MD is 2.5k monthly. I can give you other cost effective options all over US, even in Florida. So dont make it sound like the best 2k/month can get you all over US is a room in a shared apartment.
Btw My comparison was that a university graduate in NAFDAC with salary of 250k/month with similar skillset/knowledge will command income of 60k/yr upwards in the US(assuming work permit is sorted).
i said 2k income in the US is generally for unskilled, uneducated, high school grads doing gap year, immigrant still trying to get papers and all. - I never said 2k income will live a better life than 250k income in Nigeria( however if u look at things in Nigeria today, it is arguable)
- i dont know how Rwanda entered the story, i dont know what's obtainable in Rwanda but i know in Lagos and Abuja and PH where u can find plenty people earning 250k/month. For 1 bedroom apartment in a places like Ikosi Ketu(lagos), Kubwa(abuja) u will spend 50% of that your 250k income on rent...and these locations are not even decent like that

I don’t need to know anybody the system defines them. These are the people I meet on a daily basis. I cant be arguing with someone that is not intelligent enough to know how system runs. The least security in any government parastatal takes home money daily not to talk of their staffs. The only people I do pity are the street and road cleaners coz it not easy for them to get stipend but there are still ways around it lowkey.

If you have the opportunity to work there, pls accept. I'm working at Federal agency.. before the new minimum wage, there level 9 step 5 was getting what my level 14 step 7 was receiving monthly, aside some additional benefits that I know....
There salary structure is better than ours.. Go ahead if you have the opportunity.

60k annual pay is still very good in the US if you ask me. I agree the value of naira against dollar somehow affects the overall purchasing power in Nigeria, but it shouldn't get to the point where we'll be converting salaries to dollars. You can't spend half of 3m on rent in Ketu and Kubwa and still complain the apartments are not decent.
Since it's OK to compare now, is it now OK to charge even 2k dollars annually for an average apartment in Kubwa? Or how decent will an apartment be in the US if what you're paying annually is the equivalent of 1.5million naira (that's half of 250k pay annually)?
