I had to comment on this for the purpose of knowledge. Heritage bank case was different from keystone’s. Heritage bank’s board management mismanaged the banks affairs. They had humongous bad loans amidst poor corporate structure. Keystone bank on the other hand, a former Amcon director siphoned the sum of N20bn through heritage bank in buying keystone bank. EFCC had dissolved the bank’s board in January 2024 and today, they’ve reached a plea bargain with the director to forfeit his shares with the government. Hence, the reason why FG is now the new owners.
This is why Nairaland seriously needs a ranking algorithm. This comment should be on top. Thanks for this apt explanation.

That is the shares are in the custody of the efcc?
