I Wish To Be Financially Independent! by nahr(f): 10:22pm On Feb 13 |
Hi everyone. This is my second time posting this here, I am quite serious about needing a job. I finished university last week. It's been a lot really but now I am in need of a job before heading to law school next year. I possess good English proficiency skills. I believe that I can provide a good and qualitative service as: 1. An online English tutor. 2. An editor. 3. An article writer. I am actually open to other offers and opportunities, thank you. You can reach me @theladyaaliyah@gmail.com. My original Gmail account which was linked to my profile got lost. I don't have any certificates presently but I can do a good job. PS: I can't get a physical job due to my location. I literally live in a semi rural area. Getting a job in the city will be a lot as I will spend heavily on transportation. 6 Likes

My dear sis, The future is Agriculture o. Thank God that you already are in a rural area and so, the excuse of there is no land around me does not apply. Begin to gather knowledge on good farm practices and settle on what ever crops catch your fancy. There are lots of farming groups on Facebook and even nairaland here which you can join and Beginto draw ideas, inspirationand knowledge. There is no shortcut to success and the big cities you are eying, nothing but stress and compromise there. Use the knowledge you got from university to brand, package and market your own produce and before you know it, that financial independence you seek will be yours. Good luck. 2 Likes |

Re: I Wish To Be Financially Independent! by Mom007(f): 1:45pm On Mar 01 |
nahr: Go and read that advice again. What part of it entails that you should own a land? Or even that you should be the one actually farming? Agriculture is such a wide landscape, find one niche that suits you and fit yourself in. Especially in that your rural community, there are things produced which you could advertise using the power of social media, kind of like a middle man and start taking orders even though you are not the one physically producing it but no. You want a job. You don't want to think, you don't want to grow. You just want a job. Well sorry, I don't have a job for you. I am even sorry I commented on your post. I was misled by your topic into thinking you actually wanted financial independence. You don't. You just want a job. |
Re: I Wish To Be Financially Independent! by nahr(f): 2:07pm On Mar 01 |
Mom007: Firstly ma, I am actually appreciative of your kind advice. The thing is that I actually don't live in a rural area, I live in a semi-rural area. All the houses there are fenced and gated and no one is leasing out any land for farming to anyone. I also am not fit for agriculture since I believe it's not something I can just jump into without knowing the nuances. I barely have a year before going to law school and I don't even know how long it takes to sustain a farm. I also don't have the capital to employ labourers or buy farming equipments, seeds and all of that. |
