The Biafra civil war has shown that the Igbos are a resilient stock. Though small and less than 25% of Nigeria, both in geographical size, structure and population, the igbos were able to withstand the rest of Nigeria for 30 months. The igbos deserve to be respected.

I once read somewhere that the reason most of the 1966 coupist were Igbos was because about 50% of the foreign trained, certified and commissioned officers in the Armed Forces were Igbos. The rest of the tribes were mainly non-cimmisioned personnel. Infact, most of the Northern officers, like Buhari., Abacha, Etc rose through the ranks. In coups, only officers are involved.

Today, rising from the dust of the Civil War, and after losing almost everything, the Igbos have steadily risen to reclaimed dominance in Nigeria commerce.

If what befell the Igbos befall any other tribe in Nigeria, believe you mean, they would have remained perpetually poor.

This people always show signs of insecurity. Is there any tribe that is not making progress? Is there any tribe where people are not resilient? The richest black man is Hausa.
You claim you are hardworking and resilient yet you are the one always complaining

Give any Igbo boy not man the monopoly of providing the entire Nigeria with rice, sugar, salt and petrol for only 2 years and he will be richer than bill gates and not far from Elon musk

Not in Igbos face because they almost fell during the civil war but with God and hard work, the rose again and became even more stronger this time.

All people created by God are the same with similar capabilities. Tribalism helps no one at the end of the day. No tribes in heaven!

Pride, arrogance, and self-confidence are not the same. The Bible condemns pride and arrogance but commands unshakable self-confidence and absolute faith in God. That’s why “fear not” resounds through its pages. What the Igbo people radiate is not pride or arrogance—it is unwavering self-confidence and total trust in God.

Igbos are something else.they are just so unique and blessed.
I'm not Igbo but na Igbo girl I go marry,so some of their uniqueness go enter for my family expecially the bussiness acumen.
Also Igbo girls are the most bueatiful and their women wash their pant and cook good meal no wonder they are the most sort after Nigerian girls.unluke some girls that don't wash their pant and mess loudly after eating Amala and gbeguri na to mess.

Your richest man made money through government. So what is your point. Late Ifeanyi Ubah made it through Jonathan by importing almost half of daily PMS to the country. Keep leaving in fool paradise. There is no monopoly of those things you called. Average Igbo is against competition becos most of you believe in fake products.

It true, Igbo are the richest people in earth from drug trafficking, baby factory, drug peddling, kidnapping, yes kidnapping, the richest kidnappers in Nigeria are Igbos, Igbos are ritualist, organ harvester, organ traffickers, land grabbers, weapons smugglers and anything negativity.

I agree that Igbo are resilinent, but being the greatest african tribe is what I am not sure about. I usually like giving the Zulus that title becuse they're the only frican army that defeated the British in a battle. What is clear however is that Igbo is the tribe that holds the potential of initiating the african industriliztion nd renaissance. That is why most of the European and Western powers never wanted Biafra to happen. Igbo leading african industrialization would spell doom for Europe, just the way Japan-led Industrialization cost them a lot in asia.

most of the 1966 coupist were Igbos was because about 50% of the foreign trained

Igbo to Nigeria officer cadre is something like 70 - 22 at a point. That's why military analysts said the odd aginst the Igbo in the war was four to one. They stated that if it was three to one, Biafra wouldn't have lost.
