when these people started building their empire there wasn't much distractions like we have today, now they have thousands of personal assistance and could do what ever they like . I know lots Hausa and Fulani here in Lagos , who are Muslims. They consume alcohol steady ....we even hangout together

Yes you're right. That's why Core northerners refer Southwestern Muslims as fake ones. But in real truth, some of those so called northern Muslims will still hide and consume alcohol secretly.
