You had military governments for many, many years - from Gowon to Murtala to Buhari to Babangida to Abacha. Things still didn't fall into place - they just got worse.

The military is a big part of the reason why this country is in the mess it is in. Soldiers ran the economy into the ground and sadly, this country will never recover.

In places that work, military engineers are known for fixing things and getting stuff done. Our own are in the news all the time for beating people up - as if that will solve the problem.

stop going to that office cos you will still be beating properly, the last time I checked, the worse military government is better than the best useless democracy, let use Abacha as a case study, Abacha met dollar #18 to 1USD, when he died in 1998, USD was still #18, ETF projects can still be pointed at till today. Most of the best infrastructure we have today was done during military regime like 3rd mainland bridge. Can anything good come out of politicians tell me, those electricity workers are demons, no matter how Nigerians complain is non of their business. It's time to let the military men know that they are serving the people and not the other way around.
What sort of basic training is taught during military training? They have been made to believe that they are above the laws while the elected politicians are scared of upsetting these military men for fear of coups.

Military men and women are supposed to see civilians as their masters, not the other way around. They are serving the people.
