This is my 6th year in the UK,I have not missed anything back home in Nigeria.

I don't feel lonely.
It's not boring.
Back home in Nigeria,I didn't have many friends.
Had a small circle and my small circle have also all relocated.
We had a class party few weeks back.
It felt like we were in Nigeria.
Virtually, everyone in my university class was present.

What is in a pot of soup....a cow?

How much is the 80g pack of Ogbono or a kilo of chickendrumsticks at Morrisons? Both are under Β£4.50 and still have how much remaining from the hourly pay to buy the remaining condiments?....No be only you dey earn and spend in the UK!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But u for just run the whole list, if na true you dey talk.
Make una no dey lie give people wey dey 9ja.
Why you stop at Β£4.50?
Very soon u go shift goalpost.
Run the whole list for minimum wage earner, make we see the pot of soup wey u wan cook.

I repeat, you lied when you said a minimum wage earner can cook a pot of soup in the UK with 1 hour wage.

I no dey earn for UK nor do I spend in the UK but as a someone who has lived in the UK for 9 years consecutively, frequent traveller to the UK and a European citizen, I know a lie when I see one and yours is a big fat lie.

I’m looking to go into the finance field.
If that field is not a good one over there, can you suggest a better field and qualification?

Lastly, how can one navigate the language barrier as one cannot be fluent upon getting there?

@bolded, exactly, but how do you pull that off??!!
Most Nigerians abroad can hardly afford coming home once a year, talkless of to be comming and going and maintaining two residencies!
Also, for various reasons (including "laziness"} people tend to stay where they've made their home. So you can discount the bolded - ain't happening!
My brother I am speaking to people who well settled abroad and have reasonably above average salary.

Abraham would have been a failure and completely messed up big time if he still remained where he was.

REVISITING SOME OF THE LATEEF JAKANDE'S GOVERNMENT ACHIEVEMENTS FROM OCTOBER 1979 TO DECEMBER 1983 (FOUR YEARS AND 3 MONTHS) IN LAGOS STATE

* His government built low cost houses in Ijaiye, Dolphin, Oke-Afa, Ije, Abesan, Iponri, Ipaja, Abule Nla, Epe, Amuwo-Odofin, Anikantamo, Surulere, Iba, Ikorodu, Badagry, Isheri/Olowu, Orisigun etc.

* His government established the Water Management Board and Waste Disposal Board on the 18th of August, 1980.

* His government constructed the Adiyan Water Works to increase water supply in the state to 18.16 million litres per day.

* His government modernized and expanded the Iju Water Works which was first commissioned in 1915. This increased daily capacity from 159 million to 204 million litres per day.

* His government purchased and commissioned the giant car crusher equipment. The equipment was designed specifically to crush derelict vehicles in Lagos State. It had the capacity to crush 45 vehicles per day.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

My sister I don't care how settled you are it is NOT easy to be organizing and traveling to Nigeria several times a year - even if you are self-employed and can take off any time you wish! Infact the more settled you are the more difficult it is. The more likely thing is that you'll stay right where you are!
