I’ve asked the question before, does the fact that Obasanjo did it during his tenure justify Tinubu doing it now?

On the Court Judgement, the SC didn't delve into the merits of the matter.

However, the President was wrong and ill-advised on the removal of elected officials. Worse still to even vest the authority of making laws on FEC, rather than the NASS is another aberration.

Fagbemi isn't helping this President at all.

Not laws, but regulations. No new law would be made in Rivers state.

The question to ask is, what lesson was learnt from the Supreme Court decision? What has passed has passed.

Supreme Court already said it's illegal. Cue should be taking from the mistakes of the past and not to be reliving the past mistake again.

The wouldn't protest in their own government, even though it was later determined by Supreme Court to be illegal. In the same way, you wouldn't expect any APC member protest this Tinubu's decision.

We all know where we are heading when we start flouting the rule of law in this country.

A sitting governor saying he will tell his boys when to enter? They are blowing the pipelines already. The level of indiscipline Baba Buhari tolerated so people won't call him dictator won't repeat itself.

Obaseki committed alot of atrocities because Baba Buhari looked away, denied members of assemblies their constitutional rights to serve their people and he got away with it.

Now the Presidency have checked Gov. Fubara and also clip the wings of Gov. Adeleke, I think any governors trying to turn lord over state assemblies or local government chairmen will have a rethink.

He should do it the proper way. Yes these governors do same to LG chairmen. It is interesting to see their reactions when someone does same to them . These Governors behave like Demi-gods . Misbehaving up and down. They are the main reason the FG is scared of endorsing State police. FG knows they will abuse it .

However , Tinubu should have done this the right way. Let the state house impeach Fubara, declare state of emergency after the fact , let Fubara go to court and challenge his impeachment while FG holds the state security infrastructure. He has put himself up for ridicule by suspending a sitting governor whose days were numbered anyways.

Lastly Nigerians should learn how to honor agreements. Fubara had no pedigree to run for governorship ship not to talk of becoming the governor . Wike gifted him that seat for a price. He got it and broke that agreement . He is a stupid , undeserving man who got what he deserved.

Did the president talk about law making in his speech? He was clear that no new laws will be promulgated...

It's not the point here. The point is that there's a Judicial precedence from the APEX COURT that it's Illegal to remove an elected government through section 305. Get the drift.

The issue here is that Jagaban is always 100 steps of his mates.

Meanwhile, for people saying Jagaban needs 2/3 of the National assembly to suspend Fubara, I think this is a joke taken too far.

If Fubara can present his budget to 4 assemblies members, what is wrong in President Tinubu getting 10 assemblies members too?

How I wish Tinubu can as well follow the footsteps of Fubara and demolish both the assemblies complexes, denied both the senate and Rep from sitting down and start building a new complex maybe in May and still go on live broadcast and brag without him being the president there won't be senators and representatives.

Then start saying how many of them come to his house to eat on Christmas day, then seize their allocations.

Fubara, in his recent letter to his followers, is trying to paint himself as a champion of democracy which he is blindly abusing.

It is high time for EFCC, ICPC, the Code of Conduct Bureau should probe Fubara for his autocratic leadership in Rivers state, his financial impropriety, and abuse of power.

There is no such thing as that. Read and stop relying on hearsay.

The supreme court ruled in both Plateau and Ekiti that those who filed the suit have no jurisdiction to do so....The supreme court did not answer the question. Elrufai was just lying to obidients and he knows it
