Idiots are still discussing fuel subsidy, boko haram is busy killing southerners in the north. Please call your friends or brothers and confirm what is going on in Adamawa and Bauchi now. Hope a full blown war has not started. Up Southern Nigeria!!! |

alj harem:This is not news. Govt already shifted by cutting salaries so it means they can 'shift' through other means. But as for going back to N65 which labour is demanding, they can FORGET IT! |

So, you really think you are some big shot with a few lines on Nairaland, you are really deluded. This is not about fuel price increase, it is about the fundamentals of governance in Nigeria. Things have changed and Nigeria can never be the same again. That one is clear. Even labour will be sidelined if they sign any silly agreement. muami: |

^^^Don't mind the self-appointed spokespersons of Jonathan who think people do not matter in governance. Can you see the way they've been declaring arrogantly and high-handedly that there's no going back on the price? Should this be happening in a democracy? Why do they keep talking down to the same people that allegedly voted for them? |

assuming 65naira/litre pms is not sustainable: BEJ today reverts back to 65naira/litre, with a timetable: end of february, pms is 75naira/litre end of march, pms is 90naira/litre end of april, pms is 110naira/litre , What will we have? did you say endless chaos? hoarding by the marketers while waiting for the higher price to set in? fuel scarcity? Better to take the medicine at a go. |

Nigerians are the biggest problems of nigerians. I cant imagine that some peeps support the removal of the subsidy just like that at this time also without fighting corruption citing reasons that removing the incentive is the best way to fight corruption. They also say that they are tired of seeing a few folks feeding fat of the nation. I got 1 questions for you folks. We all know that the expected proceeds from the fuel subsidy removal has already been shared amongst the federal, state and local governments. So with the attendant corruption in naija, what stops the state governments and local governments from embezzling their shares? What will happen to them? Nothing! Who will bring them to book? No one. So we will come back to the same situation of a few feeding fat of the nation. Meanwhile, i will be paying double of the price for petrol! FIGHT CORRUPTION FIRST BEFORE REMOVING THE SUBSIDY ON PETROL. You guys should think a little please. Just a little. |

lateef4me: This is one of the few things I have against Sanusi. Whilst you have focused on the NNPC finances which I am not so sure he should entangle himself with. I am angry at him for not exposing the huge withdrawals that were made from the federation a few days to the April 2011 Presidential elections. I don't think I can forgive his silence although he is a person I hold in high esteem. |
