millionbuc:

A disturbing rumor about a text message has been reported to be circulating among the Muslims in Nigeria asking them to be ready to execute a jihad as from today Friday. Any news?

http://5slate..com/2012/01/disturbing-text-message-rumor-calls.html
@millionbuc
the ongoing nationwide protests has, more than anything else, proved to me that nigerians are all united, whether moslems or christians. our problem has been our selfish and bad leaders who can stop at nothing to reap nigerians off.
is it not surprising to anyone that in the same niger state where churches wer bombed on christmas day, not a single church or mosque was attacked despite the protests that precipitated into a full blown riot some few days ago in minna?
i'm a christian and have come to the conclusion that boko haram is a product of pdp and all those in power, not a movement against any moslem or christians but a movement against all well-meaning nigerian people.
every moslem is my friend, our common enemies as nigerians are the looters of the nigerian treasury and we must all come together to fight them
@topic
Suddenly, we are being told our refineries can indeed work @ full capacity! Why didi it take an uprising for NNPC to wake up? Anything short of arrest and prosecution of all who have brought us as a country to the sorry state we are now is not acceptable.

To Revamp the P/Harcourt refineries for NNPC again is a very very bad news and bad Business, the cycle of missmanagement and lack of maintenance of this organisation is a curse on them.

Instead FG should commercialised it. Let private hand run it .

Re: P/harcourt Refineries To Work At Full Capacity By November – Nnpc by Akiika: 7:13pm On Jan 13, 2012
What baffles me is why they are just thinking of all these ideas when the fuel subsidy removal strike/protest started.
Something tells me they are just telling us what we want to hear, they'll never do anything.

Great news. The next step is to aptly monitor and control cost, quality and time. Scope creep must also be forestalled. Thus the pertinence to plan suitably before execution.

989900:

Add these 2 comments together plus this article, plus Madueke claiming yesterday that our refineries are working at 50%-60% capacity (never mind she said 30% @ d town hall meeting). Are we really paying subsidy? If yes, on what %tage of our consumption? Definitely not 100% and not even 300billion not to mention 1.3 trillion.

How are we sure those supposedly "very huge vessels" that can't berth at our port but discharge products to smaller vessels ain't coming from PH?

Just wondering,  abacadabra?  undecided undecided undecided wink

Actually some of them load in Bonny and sts i.e. ship to ship transfer on high sea than the petrol is bought into Lagos as imported fuel.

Thanx for the info. . . looks like they are treated as imported products too (subsidized) or not?

Like has been said, these leaders should keep mute about projects in 'promising' stages. A responsible government will make it a point of duty to deliver first with the level of distrust the average Nigerian has developed for our present government.

To all vagabonds in power, Nigerians are now saying gone are the days when projects are  commisioned before they are even started. Deliver first and then come and tell us, that's the rational way to go,
