Engineeering which supposed to be the bed rock of very society has turned out the oppisite of what it ought to. In most Nigerian university, the teaching of Engineering has been taken for granted.Considering a situation where an Engineering student cannot differentiate a spanner from pliar. These conditions are due to lack of concern by the government and even the school authorities. Something urgent has to be done to, stem the tides.
Beyond reasonable doubt, most Nigerian universities has been leaving on past glories. This has resuilted in the production of unskilled theoritical based Engineers who cannot even tighten the nut of an engine.
