A disorganized governmental and political system
A disorganized economic system
A disorganized security system
A disorganized education system
A disorganized religious and moral culture
Disorganized citizenry.

Everything that makes up a proper and prosperous nation/ state is disorganized and doesn't work in Nigeria. Why?

Nigeria is disorganised, because our national structure is a fraud that was designed for theft and exploitation, rather than growth and production.
Rather than an equitable society bolstered by strong institutions, we have inequality, death, destruction, wickedness and corruption propped up by chaos.

Years ago, nigeria's major problem was lack of good leadership. Today it's totally something else, although we still suffer greatly due to lack of quality leadership, the Nigerian situation has deteriorated so badly over the last 40 years that it has resulted in a systemic breakdown and collapse of values among the citizens. It will take quite a long time to repair the damage, especially within the education system that shapes our collective worldview.
The rot in the education system is the basic cause of our problems. The Nigerian public lacks education, some of them are schooled, but they're still uneducated. It's very hard to find educated people in Nigeria and it will take a very long time to correct this distortion.

As designed by the military. Their incursion into politics to which they are not suited has been Nigeria's greatest undoing. Soldiers are trained killers, not administrators, technocrats or intellectuals.

Developing nation?
Come on, you can do better.
This is what they said in 1960 after independence. At that time other developing countries like India, Brazil, Malaysia, etc also obtained independence from their colonial masters.
Today, all these countries have significantly advanced in terms of industrialization, education, technology, and even militarily. On the other hand, Nigeria is not even advancing, she's marching backwards, marching into disintergration and anarchy, and my friend you don't see any thing wrong

Religon is part of the problem to because Nigerians making statements like its in gods hands, leave everything to god or only god can save us dose not help matters. It just proves that Nigerians cannot help themselves and expect some imaginary guy to come down from the sky and solve thier problems for them undecided

The Tribes in which make up Nigeria today were the single greatest contributors to the Atlantic Slave Trade, and they and their lands are simply reaping their just rewards now for their ancestors careless acts. Better stated, NIGERIA IS CURSED!

how can you blame a finite resource for being the cause of our collective problem? If you can't manage your resources efficiently, shouldn't you be blaming yourself rather than blaming the resource?
With the current state of affairs, if our crude oil is completely depleted, out problems will be compounded.
