Barcelona has confirmed that defender Eric Abidal is currently undergoing a liver transplant. The French defender entered the operating room at the Barna Clinic at 10.00CET (4p.m. Nigerian Time) for the crucial surgical operation. The operation will last for eight hours. In March, Abidal was diagnosed with a liver problem and doctors recommended a transplant, barely a year after having a tumor removed from his liver.
