This is going to be Tuchels problem with the board. As much as he achieves results with the cheap players like Alonso, Rudiger, Chris and co, he is sacrificing expensive assets to the bench to stabilise the defence with three defenders, and eventually the board will have a problem with it as soon as he gets one or two wonky results. When you have multimillion assets like Pulisic, Kai, Ziyech and Chilwell rotting on the bench, the board will start pressuring him sooner or later.

I stated during Lampards time that at certain times, he will ordinarily go to three at the back to stabilise things and drop one of the attacking players, but he was putting himself under pressure to justify the outlay so kept persisting with 4-3-3.

Tuchel can come in and prioritize stability because those players were not signed under his watch, but eventually, the board will put pressure on him to maximize their assets. Different managers have different mandates and at some point, the board will change Tuchels mandate for him.

This is a new season with plenty investment in attacking players. We are not going to play 3 man defence to protect anyone when there are expensive attacking players to fit in. You can't drive a Ferrari like a Beetle.

Chelsea team lacks quality. Odoi made at least 8 runs in behind Lemah yesterday but no one spotted it. Jorginho who spotted it twice made a fool of the situation with his abysmal passing.

To play ATM, one has to be clinical cause you might not get too many chances. I wondered what TT thought Werner who need a thousand chances to score 1 (that of course is after getting his first 900 touches wrongly) could possibly do to ATM.

Thank God the only clinical striker we have in our team bailed us out.

Werner has issues with playing football.

A skilled attacker with close control of the ball could easily have controlled the ball into a dangerous direction, giving him a chance to run straight at goal with his pace. Example of such player is Mbappe.

I'm just trying not to imagine what tammy would have done in the giroud situation

It might be time to cash in on him. Aston villa, Brighton or Sheffield Utd wont have problem paying £29m for his service.
I really like his passion for his club but let's face it, he is not Chelsea's level & i don't see him upgrading more than what he is at the moment.
