We were able to meet with the director of a home for special kids today. He didn't give us a definite answer but he said 2 kids would be leaving the home in the next 2 weeks so,he and the board of directors would decide on Ayomide's issue afterwards.

We are keeping our fingers crossed.

No the thread did not die.Being a voluntary venture,it takes time to get everyone on deck,planning,visiting et all.
Anyways,here's the latest update on Ayomide's welfare as at Monday 25th February,2013.

Prior now,Tehn had with our accountant,Jarus,the sum of 158,880.00 ngn in the purse for Ayomide being the balance from the donations after the previous visits.We sent our field workers on an improptu visit to check on Ayo and the grandma sometime in February and the following was the outcome of that visit:
Ayo and grandma were now squatting with friends as their house rent has expired and they were unable to renew it.
Ayo does not attend school regularly because the granny sometimes,is not able to take her to the teachers house who in turn takes her to school.

Tehn consulted and with granny's leads, we paid for a new accommodation for them in another town and got Ayomide in a private school very close to the new house.We also updated granny's business so that she would be totally independent and able to take of Ayo in our absence.

Expenditure :

House rent ;24,000 X 2 years 48,000.00
Agent and agreement: 7,000.00

Ayo's wellbeing:
2 bottles of orheptal blod tonic(big): 1,800.00
2 bottles of becombion multivitamin: 500.00
