Security Agencies Set To Expose Sponsors Of Terror by chino24: 8:20am On May 05, 2012
Security agencies are taking a cue from last week’s bombshell by the National Security Adviser (NSA),Gen.Andrew Azazi in which he blamed the ruling PDP for partly responsible for the state of insecurity in the country.

The agencies have, therefore, resolved to expose the sponsors of terrorism in the country.

The decision was the high point of a meeting in Abuja yesterday of security chiefs to review the state of the nation.

The NSA had said that the PDP’s position that only some people could contest election greatly undermined national security and was the genesis of the current wave of violence in the country.

A reliable source at the meeting, who preferred anonymity, said the office of the NSA would be formally furnished with details of the alleged involvement of “these greedy elements in the formation and operations of terror groups in the country”.

The source noted that the move followed a revelation that key political leaders have been financing terrorism for the purpose of destabilising the government of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The meeting reviewed Azazi’s controversial statement and “generally agreed that he was quoted out of context as he was referring to greedy politicians who insisted that no one else could rule Nigeria after the demise of President Umaru Yar’Adua, except someone from the same region”.

The meeting, the source said, “ heaped the blame on greedy and selfish politicians who don’t want Nigerians from outside their region to rule the country. Otherwise, how do you explain the genuineness and sincerity as well as equity disposition of a political party that wants all Nigerians to aspire to become president, to mean something else?”

The source added: “For the first time, we now have a watch list with names of possible backers of terror groups. Very soon we will expose them. We all agreed that while we sustain the stick and carrot approach, the battle against terrorism can be ended in no distance time if people with links are exposed.

Expose? Nonsense!!
If you aren't arresting them and providing adequate evidence, the general public would just hiss and you would give Boko Haram more fervour!!
Freaking pick these guys or if there isn't enough evidence to prosecute them, simply take them out one by one!! You can even do it in the name of Boko Haram!

This soundbite is beginning to sound like that from a broken gramophone record.

We have heard it so often without seeing any follow up action that it is scratching the ears or rather eyes just reading them again!!

Someone please wake me up when the sponsors of terror are ACTUALLY exposed, TRIED and JAILED.

Btw, why has NASS not reviewed our anti-terrorism laws to have stiffer penalties including longer sentences, freezing of accounts for the jail term and forfeiture of properties
ACN with all their noise on GEJ won't ask their legisLOOTERS to draft such bills.
They are obviously contented to continue RECEIVING the mega millions monthly for doing nothing while the same Nigerian government pays N18,000 monthly to hard-working civil servants.

Bullsh!t from the useless administration. They claimed that they know fuel subsidy cabal, MEND October 1st bombing, Boko Sponsors, etc. They have security apparatus and other resources at their disposal, yet it is all about theories, conjectures and childish comments all the time. We're tired of useless figurehead as president.

Expose ko, extrapolate ni! Isn't there words like arrest and prosecute in ur dictionary? While boko haram are using statements filled with potent verbs, these security agensies are playing with adjectives and pronouns!
How many hours left for the lagos/abj bombing? I cant wait!

Are they sponsors we already know ? (from one of the sect's confession) or additional sponsors ? Meanwhile what has been done in regards to the indicted sponsors ? Perhaps because they're the big wigs or godfathers who are above the Nigerian law. Its a shame that in Naija, the big boys are never found guilty because the judiciary had never found a convicting evidence to throw any indicted and corrupt politician to any jail. Moreso, the same names we've heard ever since we stopped wearing napkins are the ones still controlling Naija either on SEAT or from the background.

Re: Security Agencies Set To Expose Sponsors Of Terror by reindeer: 11:18am On May 05, 2012
So they know them?
Why are they not prosecuting the sponsors?
Is this some kind of charade to keep the gullible masses happy?
Or just something to appeal to a section of the country by appealing to their paranoia about certain personalitites?
Whatever the case, it is obvious this clueless government is getting worse and their lies are running thin.
Azzazi said it, this is a PDP phenomenon.
Re: Security Agencies Set To Expose Sponsors Of Terror by Unkl(m): 11:24am On May 05, 2012
Truth of the matter is that the NSA shd have blamed members of d party 4 circumventing the constitution of their party, there's nothing wrong 4 pdp to hv a zoning arrangement that shd be obeyed by all bt GEJ took advantage of the situation as d acting presido to suit his devilish whims against all odds. Had he won d 2011 election frm anoda party we wldn't hv been in dis mess. In my own submission GEJ is the cause of all d bombings and he'll ansa 4 all d lost lives lost.
