Whether they serve same purpose or different purpose, i am in love with nairaland than facebook, its more educative than FB. Nairaland shall not be compare to facebook. If both were to ever compared it should be in terms of value and services they both renders. For me not a single day will pass by and I'll not visit the two sites. I visit fb to say hi to friends and and come to nl read knowledgeable, intelligence and great potentials mind. I value both but nl most because of the great ppl i review their ideas.

Well for me i can't say which is better cos i just started using NL even though i have known of its existence befor FB. For now i will reserve my comment....lol

Whenever I need to get updated on hot news or fresh gist, I go to NL. FB is also useful in that regard via newsfeeds from sites I've subscribed to. Other than that, I only use FB to connect with friends.

Nairaland easily!

Facebook is dead dry, and boring.
It promotes ppl communicating and inviting ppl familiar to its users while nairaland exposes you to different personalities. I am American and a member of different sites. Some of those sites are more entertaining than others but I like nairaland because I can get a foreing perspective on topics which is cool.

I can stay a month away from FB but I cant imagine myself going a day away from nairaland. I may not be an active poster but i derieve a lot from nairaland in all ramification.

To me as an individual, Nairaland is more educative n informative dan FB. Also, FB is full of vry tom, dick n harry.

It's not right to compare two different sites. Nairaland is a forum where information is discussed/shared while Facebook is a site made specifically for social interactions. Ignore the fact that there's a friends list on Nairaland, the two sites are made for different purposes.
