Yes, its possible to extend your stay via medical grounds and other reasons. But, as you have been advised, rather spend the 10 days and return.
I need to ask though, how long did you state on your Visa application form that you intend to spend im SA?

Yes by all means i would also recommend AirBnB. I also use it whever in the world i travel. And you get good deals.

BUT, last time someone i know used it, the Immigration officials at Murtala Airport delayed him. They kepr askin for "Hotel Booking" even when he produced his paid recipt from AirBnB. In the end they said there's "First Time Traveller package" that he needs to pay. After being delayed, in the end the pooe dude succumbed and gave them some thousands of Nairas before he was allowed to board.

Good day everyone, my friend applied for a visit visa and has been able to track it which usually shows its "under assessment" but today; its showing "no record found".

Does it mean it has been dispatched for delivering or just a network glitch?

@Manager007, is trying to help without asking anyone for money, the current situation in SA embassy is quite unusual, i have waited for 3 months without any hope. A kindhearted Nigerian like @Manager007 should not be discouraged from assisting those he can help.
