Hi folks, was having a chat with my roommate on monarchs in Nigeria, precisely those refered to as 1st class monarchs and we disagreed on the longest ruling monarch is in Nigeria presently... I was of the opinion it is the Attah of Igala who has been on the throne since the late 50's and he said it was the Alaafin of Oyo buh he wasn't sure when the Alaafin ascednded his throne.. I'm throwing it at he house now.. Pls whom do you is the longest serving monarch in Nigeria? |

Ooni Aderemi was on the Throne for 60 years from 1920 to 1980 when he died aged 90 Awujale Ijebu has been on the Throne for 62 years , he was Crowned 6 months before Nigeria gained independence and was 26 at the time The Igwe Of Nnewi has been on the Throne for 59 years |
