The following men made their billions or billions in some casing by romancing one particular government in power or several governments. These men either held Public office at one point or the other or were contractors who in most cases got contracts without executing them. Most of these men have been romancing a government way before independence. Some of them were public office holders in almost every government that have come to office. Some were caught and disgraced while some weren’t. but the bottom line is we all know they got their money through corrupt means by depriving the general masses what is rightly theirs. Fellow Nigerians feel free to add your own list and names. Even though they claim this cabals are less than 1% but yet they are just too many to mention. Ayatollah Muhammadu Bin Buhari: He mis-appropriated N2.4 billion (1978 value) and over-threw a democratically elected govt when investigations started to trace where they were diverted to. He didn't stop there as when he became head of state, a 'mysterious' fire suddenly engulfed the accounts departments destroying all the records in the process. Please who can estimate the 2012 value of that bearing inflation in mind? |
