There was a bomb-scare on Monday at the Jos Campus of the Plateau State Polytechnic with students and staff vacating their classrooms and offices.

The fear arose from the report that someone planted a bomb in the ceiling of the school building.

As early as 7am, students and lecturers who were in school for the day's work got wind of the said bomb and started calling their colleagues thereby sending pandemonium across the campus.

The bomb which was suspected to be at the BEPCO block, the oldest building in the institution which has more than 30 classrooms and offices saw the institution’s authority calling the Police Anti-bomb squad to comb the building and ascertain that the area is safe for studies.
