MamaOO:

It could be atopic dermatitis, it could be milk intolerance, it could be anything. Take the baby to the ped and also a dermatologist for proper evaluation
Please enlighten on milk for babies with milk intolerance.
Thanks.

Please do you have an idea of formula for babies with sensitive stomach or allergy.
Thanks.

First, have you checked your baby with a specialist?

Take note of the symptoms you have noticed. It is important that you seek advice from your doctor if you suspect that your baby has an allergy/sensitivities so that they can be properly diagnosed and treated.

Changes to a baby's diet should only be made on the advice of a doctor please.

cheers

Please Is a 10days old baby strong enough for a 4hours travel? I need to be in Lagos tomorrow and it's urgent. There's no one u can leave my baby behind with so I want to take him with me but I need to be sure it's safe first.
if the journey is important, then there's little you can do. Just ensure you go with private car (or a very comfortable means of transport, not an 18 sitter public transport pls), the baby properly clothed and covered, use a fleece blanket to wrap baby to cushon against our rough road and carry baby properly too so he/she doesnt feel all the turbulence of the road. I travelled with a 4 day old baby but it was less than a 2 hour drive. It is well!

Whilst it is not ideal, I would suggest making sure you take a car seat with you and ensure baby is strapped properly in.

Also note: Babies that young should not be in a car seat for so long. The guidance is as below:

"You just don't want them sleeping for more than two hours in the same position) If you're travelling on a long car journey, stop for a little bit and take your baby out of the car seat. If you're using a travel system, don't keep your baby in the car seat for more than the two hours."

Make sure you allow for regular stops to get baby out of the car seat. It also allows you to breast or bottle feed, change nappy etc. While the car is stationary

If you are going in a private car, this should be manageable.

Things to consider if you are taking public transport:

pay for an additional seat that you can strap the car seat to.
Ensure that the seat has a fully functional seatbelt. With no wear and tear or slacks.

Negotiate with the driver at the start to stop at regular intervals to allow you get baby out of car seat, feed and change. Prepare to apologise to the passengers as well, be cause you can easily add an extra hour or more to the journey with all the stops.

Final and most important is do you really wanna take a fresh outta the womb baby without any immunisation or vaccinations? Please weigh the risk of exposure you are giving the baby to the "emergency" that is making you travel. My dears as for me, only war or fear of death will make me travel with a baby so young on public transport.

Also As a paranoid parent, I will suggest you have a travel companion, that way if you need to go pee for instance in all the dodgy road side joints or filling stations, you do not have to leave your baby with a complete stranger you know not what germs they are carrying, and come back to see them carrying the baby only to say "Ah Sisi, he was crying"

Just my thoughts.

All the best.

But I discover anytime I prepare it, within few hours it gets dark. Please how do I make it fresh.

Another question is how do I start packing to crech for him. I mean the packing. Any mama doing that?
