Good day mum's. My baby (girl), 3 weeks old, sleeps well during the day but cries most of the night.
I think it's normal but my wife is getting worried.
We make sure she's not hungry nor hot, change diaper, yet she cries almost every 30 mins throughout the night.
What can we do to make her sleep well at night?

is normal for these babies to cry uncontrollably, at night just put pacifier in her mouth so she wil not cry out.

Actually,if u practised exclusive breastfeeding for them, being 7months old is still early for them to like these adult foods...Patience is the key but still continue giving it to her, with time she'll like it...And about the weight,i am mama twin too,,they don't usually have same weight and their feeding habit can be really different(For peace of mind, double each adorable's birthweight,if the result tally with the current weight,do not disturb ur mind, they will be fine)...but if the gap bothers u,u can see ur paediatrician...kisses to ur adorables

Thanks for the response ma, I get birth to them 31weeks 1.8kg and 1.5kg, we didn't do exclusive breast feeding
They bn on artificial right from birth , I don't understand why her feeding is getting worse ,
.

3weeks old babies doesn't really have sleep pattern yet. Most of them sleep during the day and became active at night,it doesn't mean anything is wrong with them...That is why we wish new mums Happy Vigilante...And since u said there wasn't any fever, tell mama to stop worrying....They do change along the line,u hear?...kisses to our princess

Yes,i believe there's light at the end of the tunnel...No two kids reach milestone at same pace, each kid is unique in their own way.Just continue sitting him up with guide,if just for few mins..7months isn't too late to sit up,some kids don't really sit up till 8 to 9months...And the best bet when anything is bothering,is seeing a specialist...which u already did...Mama,Ur baby will be fine, that I'm absolutely sure of.

Not really,it's safe..Some mamas even use the cold water to ease nausea..But mama, too much of everything isn't really good.Take cold water, but i don't subscribe to toooo much of it(there re actually diff types of cold water),even with this weather..Not for baby sake this time, but adult can catch cold too na*winks*...Safe delivery

thanks for the comforting words. Although he had to be hospitalized for several days after his birth and placed on oxygen and other medicine at SCBU at UCH. If so wish and pray he pulls through gloriously.

Hello mamas. My daughter would be 2weeks old tomorrow. She had been latching and sucking well up until early this morning. It suddenly seems like she can no longer latch or suck. The little milk that gets into her mouth runs out even when we bottle feed. She has been crying for food since morning. I'm so confused.
Please help a first time mom.

Plus formula but it's just about 60mls once in a day. Every other meal is breast milk.
We have been feeding her with cup and spoon since morning. It seems like she cannot control her sucking reflexes. The little milk that gets into her mouth either from the breast or bottle spills out.

Pediatricians have warned against giving children 'teething' medicine. It wasn't too long ago that 'my pikin' teething powder caused a lot of deaths.

Teething is a natural phenomenon not an illness. If a baby is stooling, has fever etc whilst sprouting a tooth please take the child to the hospital to ascertain the cause.

Here are some tips to help your baby feel better while teething:

Use a clean finger (or cold teething ring) to gently rub your baby’s gum for about 2 minutes at a time. Many babies find this soothing, although they may protest at first.
⦁ Provide safe objects for your baby to chew on, such as teething rings.
⦁ If needed, give your baby an over-the-counter pain reliever e.g. Paracetamol that is labeled for his or her specific age. Read and follow all instructions.
⦁ Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than 20, because it has been linked to Reye syndrome, a rare but serious disease.

Do you give water after formula? Hope you are giving the right measurements for formula? 2 level spoons for 60mls of water.

My baby has boil on his body, if one disappear another will appear on another spot. Not quite long anti-biotics was prescribed cuz his nose was blocked and I was thinking the anti-biotics will also stop the boil. He is just 4 months old.

There is definitely light at the end of the tunnel by God's grace. I don't know your location but you should try and see a neurologist ASAP.

At that age, they aren't expected to sleep throughout the night. She's still supposed to be fed every 2 hours (if on breastmilk only or 3hrs on formula). If she's fed and not hot due too many layers of clothing and you cuddle her and she's still crying uncontrollably, then it might be colic pain.
Infacol an over the counter medication is recommended for colicky babies.

If your baby has suffered severe hypoxia at birth which required admission to SCBU with oxygen therapy it shows it has suffered a form of brain injury.

The problem requires more than a physiotherapy.
You need hbot to heal the brain because this is where the major problem is coming from.

What you need to do is add hyperbaric oxygen therapy -hbot to the treatment.

HBOT saturates the brain with 100% oxygen under elevated pressure and triggers the healing process. HBOT generates new brain cells and improves blood circulation in the brain where it is needed most. There other important benefits of hbot.

please ensure that you and those that carry the baby ...wash your hands regularly...also ensure you add little savlon to his bath water..it will stop any form of germs from getting to his skin...it can cause boils..take care
