I don't think there is any particular way to put their leg while sitting. However, you can help them get used to crawling by putting them on their tummy as much as possible.

I used to roll a towel and put under his tummy (just behind his hands when he is in a crouching position). I put his favorite toy just out of his reach and then gently roll the towel so it kinda stretches his hands and he has to move. It made him realize that he can move and then he started crawling. I did this several times a day for about 20 mins each time.

Jade William:
My dear;d way I do myn;I soak d corn on Friday mornin, add d millet&guinea corn on Saturday mornin without changin d water.D smell dat coms out doesn't matter then wash it 2remov d sand dat settled at d bottom&then tak it 4grindin (all of dem 2geda) on Sunday Morning&seive on Sunday cos if u don't seive it dat day,it'l smell&d baby might purge then put it in a bag (u knw d bag dat pap sellers use)&allow d water 2drain out then d nxt day,u can put them in d smal smal waterproof&store in d feezer. If u'r takin it 4grindin,go 1st thng in d mornin b4 those grinders wil use their engine 2grind beans or tomatoes whch wil affect d corn.

@Jade thanks so much, yes I understand I av to sieve it, but can I put it in a container and add water, then change the water everyday( I guess I read that somewhere on this thread) because electricity power supply is poor in my area at the moment. And the container I need to use must it be tight? Then what other stuff can I use to drain the water aside the bag you described? I will be taking it for grinding tomorrow morning.
Thanks a lot

Hello sweet mothers in d house,ve been a silent follower for some time now,not had time to post.Pls,I ve a question;my four months old baby has had some rashes on his face, neck n chest n around d body since he's been 2 months.I tot it was heat rashes so I was using dusting powder but it was just getting.Later I tot it was cos he was drooling excessively at d time but all I did didn't work until a friend came to check n said it was 'eela'.I got some traditional soap n agbo to bathe him with n sulphur to mix with shea butter. It reduced at d onset of using these things but came back full force again.I really don't know what to do anymore about it.D rashes covered his eye lid, making it pinkish.Pls,has anyone had this experience n what did u do about it.
He's been itching his gum since like dat 2 months n drooling excessively. Thanks in anticipation for responses.

Hello mothers,i am new here,i have a two weeks old baby,i discovered that my breast is not producing sufficient milk for my baby.I have taken all the kunu, pap and beverage available.please any other idea will be welcome.
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by mayblossom(f): 9:11pm On Oct 23, 2013
Hi mums, how are you all doing? I trust the babies are great too. I'm equally new here. Just had a baby girl last month.

@marygold, from my little research, the more the baby sucks, the more milk your breasts are stimulated to produce. It might hurt, but let your lo keep sucking. Also, take enough fluids...water, tea, etc any fluid at all and eat healthy. This is not time for dieting,ok. And u're just 2 weeks into lactation, milk letdown gets better with time. Good luck

@zenoj, my 1month old has the rashes exactly as u described. I suspected dryness and started applying more cream( just johnson baby cream) esp where she has the rashes. I also do not dry those parts with towel after bathing, I apply the cream on her body like that and I can say there's improvement. You can see a paediatrician as zinylizzy suggested, just in case it's something else. Good luck too.

Thanks @mayblossom n @zinylizzy!We'll c one by this weekend. It affected his hair sef.
@Marygold,for those who had such issues so far,I always prescribed eating raw garlic or going on garlic oil n it has done wonders in that regards.Whenevr I eat raw garlic,I always have over supply of the milk as I normally produce lots of milk.U can as well try let's c,it does no harm, rather,it helps both u n d baby to boost immunity n prevent infections including thyphoid too.A combination with raw ginger or ginger tea(home made) is perfect.

Wow, great to know it worked for you o...a friend of mine did dat and guess what? the child did not like sucking again o, till she decided to just taste her milk and it was tasting awful, the 'garlicky' taste, she stopped immediately o, and did a lot of pumping out and voila, the baby started sucking again. the things we see enh.

I think ur baby is teething. just use ori to rub his skin after bath and try and make him comfortable. wear light clothes for him in the house. my daughters' was like that all over her back. it was when the teeth came out that it disappeared in one day.

I think for a baby(or any person for that matter) to poo 3 times a day is more normal than to poo once in 3 days. And it's not watery as you said, I wouldn't be bothered by that. And cow & gate is a good milk. I used it a little for my first daughter.

Good day mummies in d house. My 5 month old boy's temperature went up on thursday and I was told that it was because he was teething, I gave him pcm and his temp went down . It continued all thru friday n saturday and I was giving pcm every 6hrs. His temp returned 2 normal on sunday , only for rashes to come all over him from head to toe. I also notice that his drooling has reduced drastically. I don't knw if anyone has experienced this and any advice is welcome. Thanks.

My Sister take ur baby to the hospital. I experienced exactly same thing last week and mine turned out to be measles. Though I have no idea if a 5m old can contact measles at that early age sha but then my own baby was not up to 9m before contacting it and we were actually waiting for 9m to immunize them. His twin brother was immunized today but we can't rule out his contacting it as he hasn't shown any symptoms yet.

Georges is good but unneccessarily expensive. I gave birth to my boys at 37 weeks through elective CS. Desperation and anxiety didnt allow me wait for labour so my Dr was able to manage and talk me into waiting till 37wks. Georges standard and facilities can be compared to any good hospital you'll find in the US and UK as the MD, Dr Iketunbosun worked in the UK for a long time before relocating to Naija and he attends to most of his patients himself so you can be sure of the best. If you're expecting multiples and planning for CS, be ready to spend a little over N1m and about 550-700k for singleton normal delivery. Their rooms are from 25k shared to 40k private room. Its a good pick if ur organization is footing the bills. Reddington is equally good from what I heard though I havent had any biz with them. Most of my write up is on the IVF thread.
