chiomaodo: Hello House,my sincere appreciation to every1 that ve contributed in 1 way or d oda in this thrend.u guys ve really been helpful.I went for my interview yesterday and I got my visa.The interview was short and to be sincere it was jus God and nobody else.My interview was 7;30am,got there around 7:00am did all the checks,entered did d Bio and had my interview around 9;00am.I was refused last fall cos of insufficient fund and my sponsor then was my uncle wt a diff surname,I changed my sponsor this time to my Sis,this is jus to tell u that ur faith matters alot.I was adviced not to change sponsor but i did and it worked so I believe as you go through the thrend for those yet to go for their interview you learn and also build ur confidence,d iterview went this way

So my question is, can i still use my Sevis fee for the new I-20, Or let me put it this way, does every i20 come with different Sevis ID number? or always the same ID number so far its still the same school. and Can i book for interview without having my New i-20 at hand. I await your response.

PS. I read on the internet some days ago. Ambassador McCulley says Nigerians are to get US visa within 20 days. Please how true is this.

I applied to 4 skuls buh 2 deffered my admission to fall, I gt an admission to missouri for MPH and waiting for idaho uni admission letter soon. Put u were rejected visa once n i don't know anything about the skools u listed, didn't u research on them prior to now?

Most top universities in the US are very difficult to gain admission. Time is not by my side anymore, I have to be fast b4 dem go say I am too old to go to any university in USA. Thanks...

To transfer sevis number which I'm sure won't be necessary, get info from: http://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/faq7.htm

He says all the several months applicants do wait before they can have their interviews will be corrected thereby giving no room for agents/touts who collect money from people to get them early dates. he is implementing a policy whereby an applicant will schedule and get visa within 20 days. unlike before where you are intending to book for appointment and the available dates are discouraging....I didn't read much tho but that's what he was saying.

Try www.eiu.com, www.siu.com and www.wiu.com .. All in Illinois, affordable and very low cost of living and high chance of GA in your second semester if you cant get in the first semester....Though, they are not in big cities.

Your IA must be inefficient or simply lazy. All he/she has to do is to pull up your SEVIS record and email the necessary details.

A lot of schools I know even email I-20 details (SEVIS ID, Sch code, etc) on request (or even without requesting) before mailing the document itself.

Or thinking of it again, your IA may know the new SEVIS ID but may not really know what the SEVIS ID of the old I-20 was. If you have not done so already, ask him/her to provide you the SEVIS ID of your new I-20 so you can do the comparison yourself.

If it's not urgent, do as he/she has advised.
