Good day everyone, I don't know whether to regret making Honda my first car. I recently got this 2005 Honda Accord, Discussion Continues, V4 engine and I have jumping from one issue to the other. I now wonder if the car is cursed...when idling in traffic, it vibrates, when AC is on and in Neutral, it vibrates. The gear shiftstick lighting doesn't come on and this morning, I turned the ignition, it came on but the engine wouldn't start. It would just kick healthily but won't start. The key in question is the valet key as the seller didn't have the original sensor key.
I called a mechanic and he said the car's security sensor is not recognizing the key and it needs reprogramming. I have spent a lot of money on this supposed 'direct toks' and I'm tired. Thinking of selling it...please I need help fast.

. . . a 2005 Honda Accord and 'Discussion Continue' should not be used in the same sentence. Your vehicle is obd2 compliant, SCAN that car and get the error code which points you directly to what needs fixing. As for the keys, who says you cannot get OEM remote keys done?

Okay guys, another issue that needs assistance. I recently changed my inner cup and ball joint. After coupling with some electrical checks at the fusebox,I noticed my gas gauge isn't rising up and flashing yellow below minimum level. An electrician is suggesting I change the dashboard lol. I've asked him to leave it. I'll prefer to measure my gas level with a stick. What should I check abeg? Any idea

Issue has been resolved. Replaced the fuel gauge sending unit and serviced the gauge clock. Working perfectly now.

If you are in Lagos I suggest you find your way to Gazzuzz for resurrection. I feel over time, kazeems may have done some heavy custom jobs to the car.
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by magikalz(m): 4:28pm On Jan 29, 2016
@Inze, I know EOD and Discussion Continues, the first Discussion Continues models started in 2005 actually. Honda Japan.
@Gazzuz, I am in the East, Owerri precisely. The valet key had this Honda sign on it that fell off recently...one electrician said that's where the sensor was located. As at now, the car can't start...what's the way forward please?

Check the engine seating and gear sitting for defects. Its possible its been accidented tokunbo or nigerian used... Not actually toks. Maybe the key has been tampered with before

Hello guys. Pls I'm having gearbox issues with Honda Accord,2008 v6, automatic. The problem was noticed after clearing the car at the Lagos port. I certain "specialist" fixed it in Lagos. But on my way driving down to Abuja, I noticed the car couldn't go beyond gear 3, so I had to manage 100-120km/hr max, cos anything above that, the tachometer goes 4000rpm+.
Now I need to sort it out once and for all advise pls. I'm in Abuja. Also pls if there's a Whatsapp grp I will like to be added. 08030446978

Dear car gurus, my 2004 Honda Accord navigation/radio/HVAC screen just went blank. I removed the car battery when I was travelling and decided to fix it back so I could warm the car. When I started the engine I noticed the nav screen is blank but I could still play DVD/cd and even turn to preset radio stations. The problem is the the screen doesn't come on. Gurus in the house pls help, thanks.

I have a 2008 Honda accord and it has difficulty starting after the car has been driven for a while ( when the engine is hot); it actually starts but the car vibrates in d process. A mechanic told me it's a failed key starter.... anybody with similar issues or solution ideas..

Na lie o, not key starter o. Run away from him. Its most likely a CTS sensor or FPR valve. If you're in Abuja, call 07034581213, if you're in Lagos call Gazzuzz 08033910382 for competent diagnosis and repairs.
