The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has ridiculed reports suggesting that he is planning to go on exile following threats of his re-arrest by the federal government.

In a statement released by IPOB media and publicity secretary Emma Powerful, Kanu said President Muhammadu Buhari cannot intimidate him. He said reports stating that he has gone into hiding were false.

“Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has made it abundantly clear to all and sundry that he is NOT going on exile as a result of these childish threats from Hausa Fulani dominated Nigeria Government.” the statement read in part.

Powerful added: “IPOB family members worldwide under the command and leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remain nonviolent, irrespective of the well documented brutal killings of unarmed peaceful demonstrators, abductions, torture, illegal detentions and summary executions of detainees by the Hausa Fulani Islamic run Nigeria Police and Army.

“IPOB remains impregnable and no man born of a woman can stop the agitation for Biafra restoration. Until the Hausa Fulani Islamic Nigeria Government fix a date for referendum to settle the issue of Biafra in a civilized and democratic manner, this raging agitation led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will continue. With the situation on ground today concerning Biafra freedom, we pity the APC Party and Nigerian Government led by Major General Muhammadu Buhari for choosing the uncivilized path of brute force and intimidation as opposed to referendum.

“We urge every Biafran, no matter where you are, to remain resolute and strong because Biafra is tantalizingly closer than we expect. It is crystal clear that IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is ordained by (Chukwu Okike Abiama) God Almighty which no man can stop. We are winning this battle.”
In the report, Kanu said that he fears no human on earth and cannot go into hiding because of Buhari.

“Major General Muhammadu Buhari and his APC band of thugs should be the ones hiding from IPOB not us from them. It is unfortunate that some people in Arewa North do not know who Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is hence they keep coming up with laughable fabrications designed to demystify our leader, to no avail. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu they privately acknowledge, knows no fear and is undeterred by side rantings of the vocal parasitic few, who cannot imagine their existence without crude oil money coming from Biafraland.

“This wicked lie and malicious fabrication is the work of the enemies of Biafra, who enjoy their perfect slave status and will remain servants to Arewa North all their lives,” Powerful said.

Lagos state government has announced commencement of computerized vehicle inspection service to determine the road-worthiness of vehicles in the state.

The new inspection service enables road users to know the status of their vehicles by going through series of tests.
Managing Director of Lagos State Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service (LACVIS), Segun Obayendo, noted that “We were unpopular when we started official operation in March 2017.”

“We encountered quite a lot of cynicism and skepticism as people had issues copping with the change in the price for inspection or wondered whether their vehicle will fail or pass.

“Inspections save lives of the drivers and other road users from accidents occasioned by mechanical failure and LACVIS computerized inspection process helps to detect mechanical faults before they become disaster on the highways.

“Our computerized inspection program ensures that vehicle owners are pro-actively contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment with an emission test. Vehicle emissions continue to be a major source of urban air pollution.

“However, the test checks the emission level of exhaust gases such as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and others from a vehicle. If everyone chooses to be compliant, what we will have is improved air quality and other health and economic benefit.”

In his remarks, General Manager, LACVIS, Segun Ogunnaike, said “in the next three years, there will be at least 57 computerized inspection centers across the state.

“The idea is that before any vehicle is issued the road worthiness certificate, such vehicle will have to undergo inspection.”

The leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has held a closed door meeting with the South-East governors at the Enugu government house.

This was disclosed by Emmanuel Uzor, the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of the South East Governor’s Forum, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.

He wrote on Facebook, “Happening Now: Leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in a crucial meeting with the South East Governors Forum under the leadership of Gov David Umahi in Government House, Enugu.

“Stay tuned as I update you on the outcome of the meeting which agitation and call for boycott of Anambra election may top list…. Ndigbo must have a direction.”

The presidency has said it was high time the Abuja Federal High Court sent the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu back to jail and the “key dumped in the middle of Atlantic Ocean” for flouting his bail conditions.

The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social media, Laurretta Onochie, gave the call on Tuesday in a statement on her Facebook wall.

In the statement tagged “Due process, being followed on little Nnamdi Kanu,” the presidential aide described Kanu’s followers as touts, hooligans and hoodlums who do not have formal education and were incapacitated in processing information or responding civilly.

Describing the IPOB leader as “little Kanu,” Onochie said it is “time to pull him back to where he belongs.”

According to her, “DUE PROCESS, BEING FOLLOWED ON LITTLE “NNAMDI” KANU. I must say that I’m personally impressed by the clamour by Nigerians to have Kenny Okwu Kanu, alias “Nnamdi” Kanu, cut to size. It’s therefore, not true that we are a lawless people, as the Ohaneze Ndigbo would have the world believe. The laws of our land have paths they follow.

“If anyone goes contrary to the provisions of our laws, they get pulled in by the laws they have flouted. The government of President Muhammadu Buhari will follow due process in all that it does.

“Kanu was unmeritoriously granted bail by a Nigerian Court. But he has abused and broken the three conditions that are within his personal ability to honour.

“The Conditions that were set for Nnamdi Kanu bail are as follows:
“Kanu must not hold rallies.
” He must not grant interviews.
” He must not be in a crowd of more than 10 people.
“He must provide three sureties in the sum of N100 million each.
” One of the sureties must be a senior highly placed person of Igbo extraction such as a senator.
“The second surety must be a highly respected Jewish leader since Mr. Kanu said his religion is Judaism
“The third surety must be a highly respected person who owns landed property and is resident in Abuja
“The IPOB leader must deposit his Nigerian passport
“He must also deposit his British passport with the court
“He must provide the court with reports on the progress of his health and treatment on a monthly basis.

He was a hardened criminal, a terror and killer, one whom men of the security agencies will never forget in a haste.

A man mountain, towering about 6 ft 5inch, well built, dark skinned and sweltering eyes, he carried out his operations, like a movie, in the broad day light, with sophisticated weapons, and bullet belts and explosives strapped roundabout him. He specialized in robbing exotic cars on highways and robbing banks. Nothing could stop him, not even security operatives, he was totally invincible. He was Shina Rambo!

He was born in the year 1958 to a military man who was a bad egg in the service. His father was from Abeokuta in Ogun state, but his mother was a native of Sabongida–Ora in Edo state. His father had over 18 wives, as was the norm for soldiers to impregnate virtually every woman they met where they were posted to. The Nigerian Navy on Friday said it had discovered and destroyed an illegal refinery that contained 1.59 million litres of illegally refined diesel during a mop-up operation in Port Harcourt.



Speaking at the destruction exercise, Williams Kayoda, the Commander of Nigerian Navy Ship, NNS, Pathfinder, however, said no arrest was made during the raid.

Mr. Kayoda said the navy deployed troops to the site after it got intelligence report about the illegal refinery situated around Iwofe, Rumuolumeni area of Port Harcourt.

“Troops arriving at the site discovered 24 metallic tanks with each containing 60,000 litres of petroleum product suspected to be illegally refined diesel.
“Similarly, we discovered wooden boats with 150,000 litres of diesel believed to be stolen diesel.
“The petroleum product was evacuated to a safe location before troops destroyed the illegal refinery using a Swamp Buggy machine which completely crushed the metallic tanks.

“This new strategy is part of our efforts to end current air pollution in Port Harcourt while making it difficult for oil thieves to revive illegal refineries after it was destroyed,” he said.

The commander said the use of “Swamp Buggy” was part of tactics which involved complete crushing of metal tanks rather than setting both storage tanks and petroleum products ablaze.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the new strategy was adopted following reports that burning of illegal refineries was partly responsible for current air pollution in Port Harcourt.

The Swamp Buggy strategy adopted by the navy replaces a former approach which involved setting ablaze illegal refineries and illegal bunker sites with its petroleum products.

Mr. Kayoda said the navy was committed to protecting the environment and health of residents and assured that it would carry out its mandate in line with standard practice.

“The Nigerian Navy will sustain this strategy until we bring this menace to a stop because the economic prosperity of the nation cannot be compromised to criminal individuals and groups.
