Rochas Okorocha was too fool of himself. Because of politics he insulted his people. Called them names that they will continue to be sidelined because the don't know how to play politics not knowing IGBO's to me are the most sophisticated electorate's. They vote who the want without apology to anybody. They refused to vote Buhari in 2015 and surprisedly to some people, they still choose not to vote for him again in 2019. That's the sophistication I talk about. In the entire South that is SW,SS and SE, Obasanjo remains the only person who understands the north in and out. The Igbo's too to a larger extend have understood the trickiness of the north but the SW are still learning and it will soon dawn on them by then it is already late. Welcome to next level. Full blown nepotism will be displayed, this I know.
PoliticsPDP Governors Congratulate Buhari, Crack In Atiku’s Camp - Vanguard by abc115(op): 7:24pm On May 29, 2019
All seems not to be rosy in the camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar following the congratulatory message to President Muhammadu Buhari on his inauguration on Wednesday by the South-East Governors’ Forum.

The Forum chaired by Dave Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state, also has in its fold, the quartet of Willie Obiano (Anambra), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Emeka Ihedioha, the newly inaugurated governor of Imo state. Apart from Obiano who is a member of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, all other four governors were elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a paid advertorial published in a national daily yesterday, the forum congratulated President Buhari and expressed optimism in his determination to make Nigerians happier in his second term in office.

The congratulatory message read, “We, governors of South-East Nigeria, heartily congratulate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on this historic occasion of his inauguration for a second term in office.

“We are confident, Mr. President, that with your swearing in for another term, happier days are ahead not just for South-East but the whole of Nigeria.”

PoliticsFG Fulfils Pledge Of House To Westerhorf After 25 Years by abc115(op): 12:22am On May 28, 2019
The Federal Government yesterday fulfilled a 25 –year pledge to former Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Clemens Westerhof.
At an impressive ceremony inside the conference room of the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, Abuja, the Minister, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) said the occasion was a further proof that the Buhari administration was “committed to putting right the wrongs of yesterday and redressing all forms of yesterday’s injustice”.
Westerhof, a Dutchman, was head coach of the Super Eagles’ Class of 1994 – appropriately –styled Golden Generation – that won Nigeria’s first –ever FIFA World Cup ticket, won Nigeria’s first Africa Cup of Nations title on away ground and reached the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup in USA.
“Mr. Westerhof ended our long –time search for a FIFA World Cup ticket, and afterwards went on to lead the team to Africa Cup of Nations glory. As a nation, we made promises, but there was no follow-up.

“I want the NFF to document those members of the squad that have not received their houses in the FCT as promised, and as soon as we receive this, we will respond positively. I was made aware that the promises had not been fulfilled through a letter by the assistant coach, Mr. Johannes Bonfrere, and we arranged for him to get his own in December 2017. Six months later, at the FIFA World Cup in Russia, a prominent journalist, Mr. Onochie Anibeze, brought it to my notice that the head coach, Mr. Westerhof was yet to receive his own house. We immediately initiated the process which has culminated in today’s event. The 2nd Vice President of NFF, Mallam Shehu Dikko, who represented NFF President Amaju Pinnick at the occasion, praised the initiative of Mr. Fashola and his ministry, saying the redemption of the pledge was a positive sign to footballers and other sportsmen and women that promises would always be fulfilled, no matter how long it took. “We wll compile a list of those who have not received their houses and revert back to the Ministry”, Dikko said. An elated Westerhof, who flew into Nigeria from The Netherlands on Sunday night, said: “I am overjoyed. I want to thank the Nigerian government for this, and I want to assure you that you will now see more of me in Nigeria. “Nigeria is my second fatherland, and I am proud of what we were able to achieve with the players in those years. They were disciplined, dedicated and determined to lift Nigeria high, and we took Nigeria from 79th position to 5th in the world. I am thankful. However, I feel sad that some of my players have left us. May their souls rest in peace.” Minister Fashola afterwards presented the letter of allocation of the house to Westerhof.

BusinessDangote Net Worth Is $17.2 Billion As Of May 24, 2019-bloomberg by abc115(op): 2:07pm On May 24, 2019
There was a post yesterday on the Black Billionaires. https://www.nairaland.com/5204160/black-billionaires-2019-forbes

The Post was about yearly net worth which maybe outdated because bloomberg daily tracking says otherwise as the net worth of African Richest man is now $17.2 billion as of today May 24, 2019.

Africa's richest person controls Dangote Industries, a closely held conglomerate. The Lagos, Nigeria-based company owns sub-Saharan Africa's biggest cement producer, Dangote Cement, which had revenue of 805.6 billion naira ($2.4 billion) in 2017. It also has interests in sugar, salt, flour, fertilizer and packaged food.

PoliticsBuhari’s Victory Has Demystified Obasanjo – Oba Of Lago by abc115(op): 10:59am On May 16, 2019
The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, on Wednesday said the election of President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office was a clear proof that no man, but God, gives power.

He also said the victory has demystified the political influence of a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo.

Mr Akiolu made the statement when participants of the Senior Executive Course 41 of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, visited him in his palace in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the visitors, who were on study tour of the state were led by Nasirudeen Usman, NIPSS Acting Director of Studies.

Mr Akiolu said the president got his second term mandate from God through the people of Nigeria.

He said the claim by Mr Obasanjo prior to the election that Mr Buhari would not win the election because he did not support him had been neutralised by the president’s triumph.

Mr Akiolu said Mr Obasanjo had always arrogated to himself the divine power to determine the country’s leaders, adding that Mr Buhari’s victory in the last election had demystified him.

Mr Akiolu said he had always believed Mr Buhari would win the election and that he was glad that the former president had been proved wrong at the end of the day.

”I had said that Buhari would win even before the election, unfortunately, the number one person creating problems in this country is former president Obasanjo.

”He arrogated to himself the powers of the Almighty Allah by saying it was the support he gave to Buhari that made him win the first term.

”Obasanjo said Buhari would not win the second term, but did Buhari not win? Did I not say Obasanjo will be disappointed by the time the results were announced.

”The president’s victory clearly shows power belongs to God only and no man can decide who leads the country,” he added.

Royal charge

Akiolu urged Nigerians to support the president to deliver the goods as he begins his second term in office.

He said the problems of insecurity, unemployment and other challenges of the country would be better tackled if citizens joined hands with government to address them.
