Flash Back: Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has described graduates of Nigerian public universities as brainless, saying they cannot communicate in English with the students of his private secondary school, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) Academy. Abubakar, who spoke on Thursday evening in Yola during his birthday celebration organised by the management of AUN, said public universities graduates cannot fit into private industries due to their poor education and character. “I was in the University of Zik in Akwa in Anambra State on Wednesday on the invitation of the university. There is no student in public universities that can speak English in an error-free manner like the head boy of my secondary, who just finished addressing us now. “When the head boy of AUN Academy, Abdullahi Sani, started speaking, I was thinking it is one of the lecturers in AUN, but only for him to introduce himself as the head boy of AUN Academy,” he stated https://m.guardian.ng/news/nigerian-public-varsities-graduates-cannot-compete-with-my-secondary-school-students/ |
Corruption, the biggest reason for the downfall of most empires and civilization. Some group of people can tolerate corruption as long as their leader champion their religion or race, some will tolerate bribery as long as they champion their own pockets. I’ve lived long enough to see most of my friends that shouted anti-corruption slogan against the government have no problem bribing a police officer and vote for a leader of their choice as long as these leaders championed their own race. When the leader they support was caught in a corruption scandal, my friends will say there are bigger fish to catch while ignoring the fact that their leader is corrupt. You cannot fight corruption with corruption, all forest fire starts from small and eventually grew massive. If you vote for a corrupt leader because he champions your race or religion, you deserve everything you asked for – crime, robbery, violence and etc. Nobody said this better than Che Guevara, “Cruel leaders are replaced only to have new leaders turn cruel.” If your own party’s politician is corrupt, speak up. https://www.vixpal.com/docs/corruption-and-leadership/ |

[[s]quote author=tochukwuifediba post=71889844]Those Pushing Atiku to Pick a Vice President from the South West are Enemy-Friends . To win you need to consolidate your Perceived Strong Hold not relegating it . South West will never give PDP Block Votes even with a South West VP unless 1- Atiku must get the blessing and Support of Tinubu . 2- Allow Tinubu to select his anointed candidate as his VP 3- Promise to step down in 2023 and hand over to South West Majority of Igbos will never vote APC and Buhari but it does not mean they Most vote Atiku and PDP there will be massive voters apathy in 2019 if we feel that the two party does not represent our best interest , This voters apathy will only favour APC and Buhari . Secondly , the political fact on ground is that The South East have the biggest voting block and Geographical spread in Nigeria from Kano, Kaduna , Abuja etc to the south West states we are the second most populous tribe after the Local indigenes of the land , So the South East influence is more even outside the GeoPolitical zones . So for Atiku to stand a chance of defeating Buhari he need to consolidate his stronghold first Like South South , South East , North central , North East etc and then see how to get 60/40 votes from Buhari Stronghold like North west , South West etc . I believe if the Igbos can have a reason to vote in 2019 it will be a great victory for PDP . But we won't vote if our interest is not clearly represented[/quote][/s] |

Is PDP still in Lagos? Am asking this question because of the following: 1. I have not seen a single PDP poster in this Electioneering Primary 2. The whole State Chairman recently decamped to APC 3. The party have not be able to conduct Governorship Primary in the State 4. The party is waiting for decampees before it can get candidates to conduct primary |

Direct Primary ofcourse. It is like voting in the General Election but restricted to Party Members. It gives members sense of belonging and create awareness, mobilisation ahead of the main election. Indirect Primary is done by delegates usually not elected , but by the virtue of their positions in the party and govt. It creates room for corruption and enrichment of delegates |
Sexual assault is never okay. Although some survivors may stay silent for years before sharing their stories, the act is in no way shape or form acceptable. In the past, however, the subject seemed to be overlooked. Many women were subjected to being sexually harassed and assaulted by men who felt as though they were in the right and looking to gain positions of power. |
Clement Ebri, Chairman of the primary election panel of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, has declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as winner of the exercise in the state. Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/10/breaking-clement-ebri-declares-sanwo-olu-winner-of-lagos-apc-primary/ |
