PoliticsBen Bruce 11billion Unpaid Debt And Trader Moni by abc115(op): 7:13pm On Sep 14, 2018
The unpaid N11 Billion being owed to Banks by PDP Senator Ben Bruce , could serve 1,100,000 Petty Traders in Nigeria in the on going Buhari Trader Mini Initiative. According to Gavelslam of Nairaland:

"If this is buying votes in Nigeria, long may it continue.

Nigeria is for all of us and not only for the Ben Bruce's of this world. Their likes would take loans amounting to billions of Naira, never offsetting them, never servicing them.

This is money from the government, reaching the people directly. They can use it to sustain/expand their businesses.

They no longer need the loan sharks to see to petty commitments.
They no longer have to worry about quick supplies"

God Bless Nigeria

PoliticsSit-at-home Order: Activities In Swing In Enugu -vanguard by abc115(op): 12:54pm On Sep 14, 2018
BOTH commercial and secular activities are in full swing in Enugu state as residents failed to comply with the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, sit-at-home order, today.

Streets of Abakpa-Nike, Enugu metropolis are beehive of activities with commercial and private vehicles heading to different destinations. Petty traders and hawkers also took their strategic positions on the the streets to sell their ware while newspaper vending stalls were crowded with young men who made arguments over the the compliance with the IPOB directive. Mass transit parks were equally busy loading passengers to different destinations such as Nsukka and Abakaliki. In the hinterlands such as in Ugwogo community, the usual village settings remained even as police check points were also maintained along Ugwogo-Nsukka road. Some shops were however closed in Enugu metropolis but banks were opened attending to customers. A tricycle commercial operator, Chinonso told Vanguard that “I had to come out because the argument in our yard this morning was how to pay the EEDC electricity bill. “Again schools will start next week and my children will not stay at home. Will Biafra give me the money for these expenses?” Meanwhile, the Nigeria Army were seen at Red alert as it has mounted fresh road blocks in exercise of Operation Python Dance 3. Police also patrolled the state, giving indication that it was out to deal with any offender.

PoliticsBuhari, APC Sponsoring Some PDP Presidential Aspirants – Wike by abc115(op): 4:17pm On Sep 12, 2018
PT: Some of the leaders in the PDP complain that you have a strong grip on the party because you are one of its major funders. And they are uncomfortable with it.

Wike: In politics, every governor supports the party. Most leaders support the party. Those who are complaining about me are those who are afraid because they are the agents of APC. We know those PDP presidential aspirants who are agents of APC. We know them. The presidency and the APC have planted people within our party, and we know it. They planted Modu Sheriff and we fell for it. I bought into it not knowing it was a set-up. And then when we realised, we said no, we have to fight it. And we fought it. I cannot again fall the fool that I became under Ali Modu Sheriff. I know some of our presidential aspirants who are running on the sponsorship of the APC and the presidency.

PoliticsShekarau Formally Announces Defection To APC by abc115(op): 11:56pm On Sep 08, 2018
A former governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressive Congress.
Mr Shekarau declared his much anticipated defection at a meeting with loyalists held at his Mundubawa avenue residence on Saturday.
He said he decided to leave PDP due to the injustice the national leadership of the party meted against the state leadership of the PDP.
Mr Shekarau said the main reason for taking this decision is due to the concession of 51 per cent of the party’s leadership structure from state to ward level to a presidential aspirant, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who recently decamped to the party.
Mr Shekarau defected along with the dissolved state executive vice chairman, Ibrahim KT; state secretary, Auwalu Danzabuwa and state women leader, Hajiya Riga.
Others who decamped with him served on his cabinet when he was governor, including some gubernatorial aspirants under the PDP.
Prominent among these aspirants are: Mustapha Maimansaleta, Bashir Ishaq, Muhammad Bello, Sarki Labaran and Garba Yusuf.
PREMIUM TIMES observed that a gubernatorial candidate, Salihu Takai, who Mr Shekarau supported in 2011 and 2015 and about 40 out of the 44 local government chairmen of the PDP in the state were not present during the formal declaration.

Butterfliyleo:
You know I have been called all manner of names just for trying to open the eyes of south easterners here on nairaland to a very sad reality about PDP.

They specialize in playing divisive ethnographic and religion based politics.

They tell you to hate fulanis in other parties but they also have fulanis in their midst who they have now presented as Presidential candidates.

They tell you northerners are evil when in other parties but they eat and laugh with same northerners in their party.

In their 16 years in office they had 4 inaugurations and from these 4 no IBO man was ever chosen.

PMB has chosen 2 IBO men as his VP in the past but not so with PDP.

Now they have just dumped the South east again and some people would still say in the SE, its PDP or death grin

My brother now you are witnessing the truth as I have always said it. The best chance ibos have for a 2023 presidency is with Buhari because he will only run his second term. If PDP wins they would have another northerner there who would also insist on running for 2 tenures and that is 8years and by so doing, the SE would have lost their chance because other regions would want the Presidency by then.
Nothing to add

PoliticsRe: 7 Reasons Why Saraki is The Next President Of Nigeria by abc115: 11:36am On Sep 01, 2018
[s]author=BabaAlabi post=70803944]Welcome to this thread. You probably opened the thread with convictions in your mind. Either You think Buhari will defeat any candidate hands down or Saraki can never become the pdp presidential nominee. Either way, please do us all a favour, set aside your convictions and political beliefs and let’s discuss for a moment.

The 7 points made below show how Saraki can win Buhari. If you disagree, attack the points one by one. If at the end your points are valid, you would have the honour of effectively ending Saraki’s fledgling campaign. If you stupidly counter with chants of ‘Sai Buhari' or sai atiku. You simply prove that the candidate you support and his followers are unable to critically reason. Are you ready?

1) North Central
When it comes to politics, many non-northern Nigerians are scared of the north. They are afraid of their large populace which will support their candidate even With a knife to their throat. While this mindless followership has been their strength since 1960, it can also be their weakness. The core north is basically the North West and the North East. Take away North Central and their power has been weakened. Right now Buhari is largely unpopular in most states in the north central:
Benue, Jos, Taraba, and Nassarawa due to security reasons.
Kogi due to the ineptitude of the current APC governor
Niger and Kwara due to influence from Babangida and Saraki respectively.
Bukola Saraki is from North Central. If he is made the major opponent of Buhari, the core north will kick against him because he is from north Central. They feel he is not one of them effectively showing North Central indigenes that they can never be president. This will lead to massive support for Saraki from the North Central.

2. Saraki brings more to the table
Atiku, Kwankwaso and other core north candidates will find it hard to even deliver their state in 2019. This is why APC are very confident because Buhari is a legend in the core north. None of the aforementioned can defeat Buhari in the core north whereas Saraki can deliver 6 states in the North Central. Why give the nominee to a candidate who will be flawlessly beaten by Buhari in his own region?

3. Youths
Let’s face it. The youths have a great part to play in this election. The youths make up a large number of the voting population. When it comes to Buhari vs Saraki for the youths, Buhari will definitely pack to Daura. Buhari’s contempt for Nigerian youths cannot be hidden. He has insulted them time and time again on the world stage. He has ensured their continuous oppression with SARS. He has made them unemployed, hungry and frustrated. Saraki is already popular among young Nigerians. Compared to ancient Atiku, Saraki is the clear choice.

4. Public Perception
Currently in Nigeria, the only citizen who has withstood Bihari, Tinubu, IG of Police and the entire APC is Saraki. Nigerians feel Saraki is smart enough to defeat Buhari. He trounced the Code of Conduct Bureau witch hunt. He has humiliated the IG of police. He is perceived as smart and intelligent with the way he became senate president and ruined Tinubu’s planned dictatorship of the senate.

5. South West
Admittedly, Tinubu has most south western states in the palm of his hand. This is fortunately for governorship elections only! When it comes to the presidency, yorubas don’t mindlessly follow like the core north. They will not vote for Buhari just because Tinubu tells them to vote. They will not vote for a candidate that wrecked them economically. Right now, Osun state indigenes are looking for any opportunity to vote out APC. Fayose will never allow APC to embarrass him a second time with rigging so Ekiti state is in the bag. Ajimobi is seen as a power drunk fool with the recent demolition spree so Oyo state is up for grabs.
Bukola Saraki is also Yoruba so they will feel a connection with him. Among other pdp candidates, none will resonate with the south west like Saraki.

6. The power of many
If the present pdp presidential aspirants come together as one, they will collectively weaken Buhari in the north. If they decide to go as lone wolves or bicker about the nomination outcome, they will strengthen Buhari. Kwankwaso can get few votes from Kano instead of APC to be gifted with bloc Kano votes. Tambuwal can help with Sokoto and Atiku can help with Adamawa. Dankwambo can help deliver Gombe. Even if winning is near impossible, a few votes from these areas will go a long way to help Saraki’s pdp to win.

7. The Buhari curse
Generally let us not forget the abysmal performance of Buharis administration. Tribal and religious sentiments aside, Buhari has been the worst Nigerian president. He simply must go back to Daura. 4 out of 6 geopolitical zones know this. 4 out of 6 geopolitical zones will win PDP the election. Finally 4 out of 6 zones can be delivered by Saraki. What do you think?[/quote][/s]

Politics2019: Saraki’s Ward Resolves To Reject Him by abc115(op): 3:53pm On Aug 31, 2018
The people of Ajikobi Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara said they were tired of the Saraki dynasty and had resolved to reject him or anybody he put forward for election in the state.

A community leader in Ajikobi, Alhaji Omar Aiyelabegan, who addressed journalists on Friday at his family compound in Ilorin, declared that nobody would succumb to Saraki’s dictate again.

“We have our independent mind, even my children have the right to belong to where it will benefit them, we are tired of Bukola Saraki,” he said.

Aiyelabegan, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara said the Senate President never got the people’s mandate to be their leader.

Ajikobi Ward is also the Senate President’s ward while Aiyelabegan’s and Agbaji compound, the family house of Sen. Saraki are very close to each other.

Aiyelabegan said the people chose to be silent at the self-imposed leadership of the Saraki family.

He lamented that the Saraki family and indeed, the Senate President had never reciprocated it with meaningful physical development in Agbaji and its environs.

“The people of Kwara have never had it right from the time the Saraki family decided not only to be king makers as custodians but as king in addition.

“Since then up-to-date, we at the grassroots have become the prisoners of the family – like chickens or sheep ready for rousting or for pepper soup at any time the election is approaching.

“It is only when election is approaching that they dangle carrots as empowerment for the long forgotten electorate, to woo them,” he said.

Aiyelabegan warned APC National Secretariat that the Saraki family have outlived their welcome.

He declared that the Senate president no longer had the goodwill to sell the people of Kwara again, as usual, to the highest political party bidders as far as the votes of Kwara people were concerned.

“Kwara people are never given the chance to make representations ‎on matters that concerned them in government, either at the executive or legislative levels.

According to him, the people of Kwara State have spoken loudly during the last local government elections when Saraki’s candidates lost woefully and even at the Senate President’s voting booth in Agbaji.

The APC chieftain, however, cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of those who were once followers of Bukola Saraki both in the state and at the national level who claimed to be in APC, yet loyal to Saraki.

“The National Chairman and the Secretariat should not make the mistake of the past by treating fake loyalists with gloved hands while the committed ones were neglected.”

Aiyelabegan declared that the people of the state could no longer bear the deceptios of the Senate president and the Governor of the state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.

“These deceptions are enough! No road, poor educational system, poor health system, no water, agriculture is nil, no salaries for some categories of workers for months.

“Pensioners are denied of their entitlements. Only elephant projects where government money can be stolen. Nothing is working in Kwara.”
