Politics2019: ‘not Too Young To Run’ Condemns Saraki’s Declaration, Dissociates Self by abc115(op): 6:24pm On Aug 30, 2018
The ‘Not Too Young To Run’ movement has dissociated itself from the formal declaration by Bukola Saraki to run for president on the platform of the opposition party, PDP.

Mr Saraki, the senate president, formally made his intention known at an event organised by the group on Thursday in Abuja.

The group, which champions youth participation in politics, said it was disappointed by Mr Saraki’s decision as its apolitical programme was not meant for such.

“The movement wishes to express its disappointment with Senator Saraki for usurping a platform designed for young aspirants to dialogue with party leadership to advance his personal political ambition. We strongly condemn this act by the President of the Senate and dissociates ourselves from this political move,” the movement said in a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES by its convener, Samson Itodo.

Read the full statement below.

Not Too Young To Run Campaigners Distance Movement From Saraki’s Declaration

As part of efforts to promote youth candidacy and democratic party primaries, the Not Too Young To Run movement commenced a series of public town hall meetings with the leadership of political parties and young aspirants to address the challenges faced by young aspirants in securing party tickets. The movement scheduled three town hall meetings with the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC); People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties. The first dialogue held today August 30, 2018 in Abuja with the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The event had in attendance the Chairman of the party Mr. Uche Secondus; Senator Bukola Saraki, Hon. Udeh Okoye, National Youth Leader of the party. The event also was attended by young aspirants registered under the Ready To Run platform.

The young aspirants advocated for a reduction in the cost of party nomination forms and requested the party to uphold internal democracy in the conduct of party primaries. In his response, the Chairman of the PDP assured the young aspirants of their support for youth candidacy in the forthcoming primaries.

Whilst addressing participants at the town hall, Senator Saraki declared his intention to run for the office of the President in the 2019 elections. The movement wishes to express its disappointment with Senator Saraki for usurping a platform designed for young aspirants to dialogue with party leadership to advance his personal political ambition. We strongly condemn this act by the President of the Senate and dissociates ourselves from this political move.

As noted earlier, the movement reaffirms its identity as a non-partisan citizen led movement dedicated to the defense democracy, political inclusion and transformative leadership. The movement restates its commitment to sustain its engagement with political parties to ensure youth candidacy and democratic party primaries.

PoliticsWhat German Chancellor Merkel Is Coming To Nigeria For – Diplomat by abc115(op): 9:45am On Aug 30, 2018
The Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar, says German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Nigeria on Thursday will focus on enhancement of economic relations and security between the two countries.

Mr Tuggar said at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday that Ms Merkel would be coming with a business delegation to explore investment opportunities in Nigeria.

“She is coming with a business delegation which is very important. We have strong economic relations with Germany over the years.

“But one of the major challenges in recent times has been how to attract German medium-size businesses to invest in Nigeria.

“The backbone of the German economy is essentially made up of medium-size, family-owned businesses. There are quite concerns about how to de-risk their investments,” he said

According to him, this sort of step requires cooperation and support by both governments to facilitate the investment and minimise risk.

“This, of course, fits into Nigeria’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan and the Presidential Enabling Business Council.

“On the German side, they know the importance of these medium-size companies and they try to support them and see that they take an increasing role in a globalised world.

“At the moment, the German Government is also doing everything to push out their small and medium- scale businesses to take their place in an increasingly globalised world,” he said.

My Permutations :
1. If Atiku did not win , he will work against the party
2. If Kwankwoso did not win, he will work for Buhari , but work for PDP in Governorship
3 . No PDP candidate can win NW, NE ,NC and SW, with Buhari contesting
4. SS could flip, because the son of the soil is not contesting...CRS,AKS,DS,EDS
5. Imo and Ebonyi could be swept by brooms
6. If Sule Lamido did not win, Obj will work against PDP
7. If Tambuwal did not win, Wike will not be interested in the Presidential Election
8. Makarfi has given up, he may decamp soon...Tonye take note
9. Donald Duke is thrown under the bus already...He will work against PDP, as he did against GEJ
10. Shame will not allow Saraki to work against PDP, if he losses...but he will only have 300k votes to donate...this will be one-third of the one that will be gained from UNCOMMON DEFECTOR
11. Dankwabwo could appeal a bit, but you know PDP...sharing the money since 1999, will not allow them to see him. Anyway , nobody knows him, to say the least, nationally .
12. Saminu Turaki...the guy looks hungry, he maybe seeking for "Juicy Appointment"
13. Shekarau cannot be trusted if he losses

Outcome:

If 1 did not hold, 2 to 13 remain valid.

Guess the rest

well said. but just so u know there are some flaws in your analysis with you allotting 70% to North west. KADUNA is already 50 50. Kano has kwankwaso and shekarau which is also an advantage. with lamido as a force in jigawa and tambawal in pdp. it's not going to be a landslide victory but Buhari will be sent parking.
Forget the noise BMC are making
