Lollittaa:
As far as I could remember, I've always had very painful menstruation. To a point that it affects my ability to work or be productive.
Painkillers hardly work, so it's about 4-7 days of Pre menstrual cramps +5 day period of agony. Almost two weeks every month. Sometimes I fall sick during or after my period.
I talked to my doctor. I was thinking family planning pills might pause my periods for sometime. But he said no they don't. He advised I be taking painkillers prior to my period and I have ulcer.

I'm tired. NL doctors, what can I do?

Do a scan to rule out any medical condition, then try guava leave tea it helps relief mensural pain ...

Get fresh guava leave, wash and boil in clean water for 30 min start drinking it few days to your mensis first thing in the morning last thing at night. Tested and trusted.

Note: you would easily fall Pregnant with quave leave tea because it will help flush your system.

Crime / Re: My Girlfriend Was Raped In Lagos By A Fat Elderly Man With A Pot Belly by adajoe555: 5:19pm On Nov 01, 2021
Mystoree:
So I had some issues with my girlfriend and we were kind of not talking for 2 weeks, during that time, a lot happened in her life.

We settled and while we were telling each other about what happened during our time apart, she began to cry and opened up to me that she was raped. I will ordinarily not believe that lie if she was a virgin but she wasn't, I met her as one and I was her first, so there will be no point in her even revealing it to me if she wasn't as it was a one time thing and I will hardly notice. At that point, i felt like my world just stopped for some seconds, o felt dizzy and found somewhere to sit trying to process what I just heard. Funny thing was that on the night of that incident, I was feeling weird about her and called her to find out how she was, it was around 9:30 pm and she was a student of a higher institution on the mainland while I stay on the island. After I called her, she picked up and told me she was going to call me back as she was trying to get a bike to take her to where she was going to, and immediately she ended the call, a man put a knife behind her and threatened to kill her if she doesn't give him what he wants, she offered her phone and all but this man was just after sex, according to her, the area was quiet and there was almost nobody on the streets, he pulled her to a shop corner and forced his way. I was devastated and confused, this is the only lady I have ever seen myself marrying amongst all the ladies I have met, she checks all the boxes, she said it didn't last up to 5 minutes and she cried all through but the man didn't care. He was a fat elderly man with a pot belly, wearing a nose mask in the night so she could not even see his face.

I was so angry at her because first of all, I warned her several times not to move in the night in that area as it is very dangerous, we were once robbed on the same street around 8pm, so I wonder what went into her mind moving by almost 10pm. She said she was on night shift where she works and then her friend called her to join them for a party, so she took permission and wanted leaving and that was when it happened. Now the thing is, those friends of hers are very bad influence on her and I told her a long time ago, she said she doesn't follow them but just hangs around with them in school, little did I know that she went to the bar alongside them and their boyfriends a number of time without my knowledge. She showed me pictures of their outings and a stab on the hand from the rapist. I'm so angry, she has been crying and begging, I asked her to stop the job and she agreed,i have thought of getting a girl and some guys to disguise and go to the same area late night to see if the devil will push the bastard to try his lick again cos I swear, I will make sure I put a stick through his anus through to his mouth, revenge is all that is on my mind cos I love this girl so much

I have read rape stories but I never thought it would come so close to me, I have been put in countless situations where a girl changes her mind on letting me into her and I respected that, I wonder why this would happen to me, I don't know what to do, any advice is welcome.

Modified - for those claiming she lied, she came along with the doctors report and tests receipt.

Let her go to the hospital and run some test on her self oooh, the earlier the better.

Do the right thing and save your self the drama. There are somethings one should apply common sense. If you are an employer and your worker dress anyhow to work won't you caution or even send him/ her home to change the dressing, every work place have rules, avoid the unnecessary drama and do the right thing.

The church i attend don't cover head, someone invited me to a church, I went not knowing they cover there head and it's a must, when the usher approached me and told me, and i wasn't with a head tie, I just used my handkerchief and covered my hair to avoid unnecessary drama, sometimes you just use your common sense.

guess the church is also paying his salary...

I don't know how people reason, a work place have a dress code, a Church have a dress code, I can't dress half naked to a church, and expect they won't send me out... Somethings you just use your common sense, but these days common Sense is not actually common.

People love being stupid for the wrong reasons. The place of work this idiot goes may make it mandatory to dress appropriately when coming to work, and it might even include a tie and a suit ,but he never considered that dogmatic. But when it comes to respecting the doctrines of a church, he quickly refers to it as dogma. Nonsense

I just wonder, can he dress shabby to his work place, all these just to trend.

Properties / Re: Please Help, Landlady Has Taken My Anger To Another Level. by adajoe555: 4:00pm On Sep 27, 2021
Nononsenseguy:
Good day all, hope your day is going well.

I'll go straight to the point. I rented a 2 bedroom flat for my mum last year October, paid agent and lawyer fees, the agent never told me the place has the landlady living in it.

My mum was happy and moved into the apartment, I noticed that after some months she was complaining about the house, I finally went there to see her, guess what? The landlady is a devil in human form, she's an unmarried bitter human who was opportuned to inherit the building from her family.
This woman locked the well and told my mum and younger bro to source for water elsewhere, I was mad when I got to hear what she's making my family go through. I came to the house and removed the padlock she locked the well with, she called my mom and told her to pack out when her rent expires next week.

Well, since she thinks the world revolves around her and wants everyone to fear and worship her, I'll show her what real madness is.

I have decided to ask her for a refund of the agent and lawyer fees I paid since it's barely one year, she can't stress my family this way and get away with it.

To everyone reading this, I have one advice, never live in the same building with the landlord or you would have yourself to blame at the end of the day.

Please nairalanders, Is my action justified?

Not all landlords are like that, I live in the same building with my landlord, and he is nice, he doesn't have anybody's time, he minds his business, the only business he have with you is when your rent have expired. And i have leaved there for 2years now. Just try and get her to give you extra time to look for another place to pack to, if she doesn't agree then you know what next to do.

It didn't happen to me though but my course mate, he was returning from school, he followed choba junction going to town, when a guy approached him to ask him where UBA bank is, after talking to the guy that's how he didn't know anything again, they scammer took him to the ATM withdrew all the money in his account, collected his laptop and everything he was with. He gave him transport to go home and bring something from the house, the guy got home no one was at him, good thing was that the mom locked her room he was looking for something valuable to collect from the house and give to the guy, after all efforts he couldn't see anything so he entered cab going back to choba as he dropped at the junction nah so my guy eye clear. shocked
