Thanks for your response. Much appreciated. If I put NYSC and the tax office work as employment, please will I be asked to provide references for both employment? I.e. Will I need to provide references for jobs listed under personal history? Reason i asked is because my NYSC was done with a small company and I don't have any documentation to prove this (we were even paid over the counter...so, no docs at all). For the tax office work, I have my employment letter, resignation letter and a few payslips

Please note that I am not claiming points for both employment.
No references required for employment you put in personal history only.

This is my opinion and it is obvious you did not realise it was a light-hearted way of expressing my opinion! Dnt be too sure that I do not have enough CRS score. I am on my second Msc and I decided to come to Canada as a sight-seeing experience!

Good luck on the sight seeing. But abeg keep your opinion to yourself. Don't come here badmouthing Ca, entangling the whole process, and probably confusing ppl just starting, when you have no clue of the process.

See this link below,
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp. Actually, not everybody gets an ITA in the draw even if they have a score equal to or above the minimum CRS SCORE. They select pple to apply and have a maximum number of ITAs that they issue each draw.

Oga,you're 100% right. But could you pls just keep your opinion to yourself?

Good morning all, I received ITA and I am now filling my 10 years personal history. Please I need clarity on the following:
1. What do we class NYSC as? Educational activity or employment or government? Is it okay to class it as educational activity since I am not claiming points from it for employment? If it's an educational activity, I hope they wouldn't ask me to provide WES evaluation.
2. I did a bit of contract work at the tax office (civil service) which I am not claiming employment points for. Is it okay for me to class this as organisation since I don't know CIC's definition of government work?
3. What is the implication of having a period of unemployment in the history?

Many thanks.
1.NYSC is an employment, you don't have to claim points for all the jobs you've done.
2. No,just put it as another employment.
3.None whatsover, don't leave any gaps even if its 1month put unemployed for that period.

Hello House,Can anyone put me through on how to get my remaining documents to WES. The certificate?
Read that they don't receive documents via mail but I saw a Fax notification.Want to know if I can send it via Fax or it has to be by courier?
Or any better option of sending documents from my own end.

Thanks.
U can send by courier, or a cheaper and faster way is to send the soft copy to anyone you know in Canada, and then they print, address and send to WES. Costs 3CAD,and it'll get to WES within in 3-4days.

1. Use a GCkey

2. [b]Your reference letter should be new (not older than 6months)

Is this a guess or for real? Does it apply to previous jobs or only an ongoing job?

hello Guru in the house, kindly assist clarify the age difference challenges my closest pal is having. The age on his WES evaluation report is quite different from the age on his international passport. Please which age is relevant to his express entry application. Please your advice will be highly applreciated. thanks
. His real age. The discrepancy may cause an outright rejection. He should try going wt the older of the two ages and attach a LOE. But his best bet wld be to get a new passport and make his DOB tally.

Thanks. Please do you know any health professional that applied and got nominated in the NSPNP. I read through the site and check their application guide. They need a proof of eligibility that one can work in Canada. Certification with licensing bodies. Any contrary opinion? See the screen shot please.
I know of an OT that went in thru Nova Scotia PNP. He wrote no licensing exams prior to leaving.I don't think that really matters. Are you a Physio? You can send me a pm,wld try to see if I can still get his contact.

This is for all the gurus in this house.

I have been a silent reader of this thread since last year and I have been following all the conversation. However, I have some few questions.
I have an MEng, MBA, PGD & HND (Elect & Elect) all evaluated by WES. My IELTS results came out yesterday in which myself and my wife performed poorly though. We both scored 6.5 and 6 average (We dint really prepare for it). I am the PA and my wife ECA is not yet ready.

Be that as it may, I still entered the pool and got a CRS score of 325 which is surprisingly low. Now the questions...

1. Could this be as a result of the poor IELTS result?
2. Could this be age related as I am 40 and wifey is 39?
3. Why is this score so low?
4. What other options can we pursue?

I have entered the Job Bank and discovered I could apply for couple of jobs there.
We are planning to write IELTS again but I'm just wondering if that alone will fetch enough marks to get an ITA.

Your advice is needed please.

Thank you!
IMO, it might not be necessary to rewrite ielts since it won't still be up to the lowest cut off there has ever been 450. But who knows it may go lower.

Your best best is provincial nomination, go through Saskatchewan PN and Novas scotia's Page as well. Both don't require a job offer. You could also PM Arcayo for more info,he went thru that route.

Thanks a lot. So what do you advice we do. As I don't see EE pool going down to 400. Our CRS score with myself as the PA is 410
I just got my job and would take 2 years for my appointment to be confirmed. That's when I can think of starting my MSc. My issue is not entering the pool while waiting for MPNP. Would have just applied for the two at the same time. Which other province do you think have good package for overseFCCas skilled workers?
Be on the look out for Nova Scotia PNP as well. Hopefully, they'll start accepting applications before the middle of the year. They've got Physiotherapy & OT on their current list.

Thinking if it applied to us"EE applicants wt ITA " they should have contacted us via email or via our CIC accounts. Still a bit confused though..
Seems its for spousal or dependant sponsorship only but saw it under EE as well.
Hoping it doesnt apply to us o, because that wld mean longer processing times.

Who has done a police report from UK here, what do they need?
Very straight forward...I used 2 bank statements as proof of address, paid wt my Gtb naira MasterCard(18k) and got it in 1week. Did Ijebu, didn't want to pay for courier, so i chose for it to be sent to a friend's addy in UK, she scanned and sent to me, and has sent d hardcopy via regular mail.

I won't mind someone clarifying it since we are all here to learn and assist ourselves
Sasks,Manitoba and Nova-scotia do not require a job offer before nomination. Same as Ontario. Most people (if not all) on this thread do not have "full time job offers" and we dey pool, or hv gotten ITA or PPR or in the process.
All u need to get into the EE pool is 67 out of d 100 point criteria.

The road to Canada through express entry (EE) is now somewhat difficult. Canada is beginning to tighten its immigration rules...For instance, if you don't have a FULL TIME job offer from any employer in any of the province, one's chances of entering the pool is zero unlike before. Even the provinces too have towed the same line. Probably, it might be an indication of the visa program coming to an end.

I have good credential assessment, over 7 years job experience and IELTS but no job offer resulting in the EE wizard returning my application as not suitable. From my understanding, anyone who is just getting into it should go through the province by trying to secure nomination before applying to CIC...Or is there any way out a

You can choose to do the evaluation at your own pace, or on request. I am in a similar situation as yours, though i had my ITA on jan 11, i hope to apply by jan 31 , and schedule a registry union in the second week of feb. Thereafter i inform them of change of status. That way i have saved my partner from the ielts exam stress and eca palaver, at least in the immediate.
Sharp guy! That's the way to go! Cc: esosa4real. Your best bet is to get married after submitting your application. That way Wifey won't go thru d ielts stress or hv to rush ECA.

Yes, you can get the police certificate same day. The cost depends on your bargaining power. Ideally, it should be free as a friend told me he got his free. Once you get to Alagbon, you will see a lot of staff that will rush to help you. If you use any of them, they will probably charge you more. My friend said he just walked into the office and did it himself. He did that cos he knows his away around the offices as he had done it before.

However, if you plan to use one of those people at the gate, try to bargain between 3k and 6k. It should not be more than that.

You don't need to upload the results. You just need a sheet that shows the list of medical tests that were carried out. The results will be sent to IRCC by the panel physician.

very true...met someone that paid 3k

You should list all your degrees. However it will ask you for each one if you have an eca for it. So, if you have an eca for your msc you fill yes. If you don't have an eca for your bsc you fill no.
Sounds right, hv u gotten PPR? Was there a request for additional documents because of that?
