Nope. Oliverjiad must pay the extra cost.... Or be in jail awaiting trial within 48 hours....then amdman can pick up the bills with the assurance that the accused will be behind bars until he reimburses him then off to jail he goes

When I say @ Amdman should pay the additional demurrage trust me I know what am saying.

amdman:

Now the truth is out that he was able to step it down against his earlier lies that it was too late. So if he stepped it down, why did he not proceed with clearing?

Amdman please I will advise that you call @ Oliverjiad to rate additional for both the shipping and the terminal charges and pay up to avoid continuous accumulation of demurrage then you find your way to get your money back from him after the delivery of the container.

Arresting him at this time won’t help.

Nah later things

baba I'm surprised u just change, are you telling me that .most of all your experience at this job u have never encounter problem with importer, client

Yes this container it's in TICT it was after so much complain and even threat I got it step down that's why Berge fee on TICT was removed while fought this, bro mhen I'm highly surprised that a fellow agent that knows much more of this happens is talking like this

Anyway please my sincere appology

@ Oliverjiad you owe me no apology.

I thought you said the container has been listed among the containers to be transferred to SCOA terminal which I believe step down can no longer be done. now after like a whole month you are still succeeded in stepping it down at TICT?

I’ve been in the industry for a while now and am not and ordinary car agent like many here, even though I clear cars am mostly into clearing of general/ bulk cargos ( house hold items, supermarket items, building materials, chassis cars and used cars) and I’ve worked in all container terminals in both Lagos and P/H.

thank you sir

I have tried to plead with amdman despite my explanation from unset with my promise that I'll deliver this week that's with the help.of paying the terminal.and shipping charges then we get trucker to load and container would be offloaded

But amdman keep saying I should go to.ikeja to sign a paper with a friend which I believe las las nah arrest at the end of the demourage keep accumulating

At this point I only want to urge you and fellow nairaland and my able client (amdman) to please and please look into this carefully and let work hand to hand to get this container out,but bringing force at the point that over 90% job done on container that's cant help the container to be out

Please my sincere appology

bro your last message is the answer sir, that's what happened exactly

If that is the case step down may not be possible as it would have been enlisted on the transfer list.

I will advice that @ Amdman should call @ Olivajiad and ask him what he need to deliver this container so that demurrage will stop accumulating

baba why u an antagonist u just said it all with bill laden number or what ever I said vessleverthed on the 27 of the December 2019 and he gave me bill.laden on the 4th of January 2020 how would I be able to step down or made a transfer easily when free period of 6dyas is gone

I do not know you from anywhere so I have no reason or whatsoever to antagonize you. what am trying to point out is that you should have easily asked for the container number and With only the container number you can do the step down as you don’t need to approach any office in TICT with bill of lading before you can step down your container. Only the container number is needed or ARE YOU CONTRACTED TO CLEAR THE CONTAINER AFTER THE VESSEL HAS ALREADY BERTHED?

mr agent you clearly said it's important he gave the bill laden earlier,I'm not talking about the debit note to be paid but the delay of giving out bill of laden result to this mess of waiting for container to be transferred or step down when debit note was acquired theres a demourage which itll definitely occur for the fact that the container stayed long due to the fact that amdman didnt give out container earlier

Sir as a clearing understand this fact earlier bill of laden helps a job atlease 80% yes or no

YES it helps and at the same time all you need is the container number which I believe the consignee can call out to you and with that you can approach and settle a sure labour you know to do the step down even without you having the bill of laden.

Am not on here to burst your bubble

please can u please check fro the date I confirmed vessel landed and when he gave me deposit o the container and currently what's happening ing in lagos port and for your ford last time when the terminal is having issue to get ur ford released didnt I explain issues with u also did I ever ask for additional despite the fact that demourage was raised and I paid

what I can say is that it’s important to give your clearing agent the bill of lading as early as possible to monitor the arrival of the vessel so that step down could be done if necessary.

Haven’t said that, mr Oliverjiad haven’t been fair enough, that invoice he posted on the front page is a scam. mearsk line invoice can be raised even three weeks before the arrival of the vessel and it will start counting after the vessel has berthed.

Lastly Lagos ports are safe and activities are going on fine as against his claim

Am also an agent

I saw hell searching for house two years ago.

One agent took me to an abandoned house with no ceiling where nobody is currently living, I know the house so I didn’t bother entering the house with him.

Another agent took me to a house where as short as I am my head is almost touching the bedroom ceiling.

They took me to a lot of old dirty houses, mehn I saw hell.
