Hello House,
Happy to have found this thread.
Please I need your professional advice.
I am coming to BC in September with open work permit with my wife who is the student with two years Msc program study permit.
I am an Electrical Engineer with over 10 years experience.
I also have over 8 years experience in Heavy duty equipment services and maintenance.
I am 31 years and I am in express pool with CRS of 366.
My wife 27 years is also in express entry pool with CRS score 469.

Please I need best advice to get PR in Canada fast.
Target is to get PR before one year in Canada.

I need experience and information that can help this out profile to become permanent residents.

Thanks so much

Also look into the organisation that verifies and certifies your credentials as you need to be certified before been able to practice as an engineer or trainings required before been able to operate/service an heavy duty equipment. No matter your years of experience, Canada can humble someone, if you don't get the required certifications or training certifications your experience may be useless.

I need a candid advise. My sister studied nursing in Uk and currently works there. Few years back she wanted Canada but she had to switch to uk due to Canada stringent rules. Now she don graduate and come dey work for uk as nurse. She has intentions of moving to US or Canada but lately she seems to be drifting towards Canada. Health workers are highly in demand in Canada and everywhere. She has ruled out student route, While we are eyeing PR route, CAN SHE GET A JOB IN CANADA FROM THE UK?. Because many people have said it's impossible because she's outside canada. So I want those of you in canada for opinion. CAN SHE GET HER HEALTHCARE JOB IN CANADA FROM UK

The answer is mostly no. She won't be able to get, better for her to check usa. Canada is proud... lol. If she wants to come here as PR, she can take up a psw job first and later look into nursing.

She won't be able to get a sponsored psw or nursing job from uk.

Meanwhile, there's a running scam in such schools where, in the end, both the school and the referrer just want to dip their hands into your student loan. [s]Some of the students don't even go to school after collecting the student loan. And then, someone will now go and use the student loan to make a down payment for a house[/s]. What kind of foolery is that? You take a loan and use it to go "take another loan", so to speak. But Nigerians have never surprised me with their foolery. On the one hand, you'll be paying the student loan and on the other the mortgage. Later you will say your village people followed you to Canada and can't quit the Amazon warehouse job that you must hold to keep up payments! Crazy!

Just a note here, it's not possible to use a student loan to make a down payment for a house. The loan is not paid to the student's account, it is paid directly to the school and in batch payments.

What people use for down payment is the grant. The grant depends on your course, family size and your net income from last tax year. I have a friend who got a total grant of $36k (family of
4). The $36k he got included grant from canada govt, province and school grant. His total fees was around $19k for a 2years course. 36k is enough for down payment for a 3bed town house in most of the province except ON. Also this 36k is not paid once, it's in batches across the 2years.

I did a top course last year and got a grant of $6k, it was just a 3months top up course. I was new in canada and have 0 income from previous year, so I qualified for some grants, same for my friend. Best time to get grants is when you're new in canada with small income, so you get a lot of benefits that are for low income earners. Once you start earning above 20k per year, grant go decrease o

If someone collects a loan and does not go to the school, there are implications, such individual must return the full amount that has been paid within 1month I think, this is stated clearly on studentaid Websites.

Also students now have up to 1year grace after the completion of their studies to start payments, in total students have 9years to pay back. Some people pay as low as $50 per month depending on the loan amount.

Hi everyone, please does anyone here know how to get a job as a laboratory assistant or microbiologist in Canada from Nigeria. I have over 4 years of experience and would like to relocate to Canada. I would appreciate any info I can get, pls. Thanks

Hello, You won't be able to get one.

Are you registered Microbiologist? When it comes to health field, canada requires a lot of certification. I am a medical lab personnel as well and I live in Alberta, it will be extremely difficult for you to get a job as a microbiologist, I would even say it is impossible.

For any lab related jobs in canada, you need a Canadian experience either by studying here, doing a practicum or internships.

Your best bet is to probably head to UK if you're HCPC certified.

Sorry airbay is it a known fact that nhs only sponsor band 5 upwards and only for clinical roles?
Because my sister wanted to apply for nhs care work on thier site and now that you are saying they dont sponsor anything below band 5 i have to tell her the sad news.

But first i need to ask u if that statement is a fact? That they dont sponsor lesser than band 5

Hello, I cannot confirm any recent lower bands that were sponsored. During my own time, only band 5 and above get sponsored.

There is no harm in applying. Inform your sis to apply to as many trust as possible.

Also, a lot of Nigerians working as psw are been sponsored by care homes but I have not come across anyone that is working at that level with NHS in both England and Scotland. This does not mean they don't exist but maybe the number is small.

there is a less than 5% chance of this happening because most employers will rather employ those on ground with permanent residency or post graduate permit. Many of the job applications they ask for your status during applying and if you have visiting you will be screened out. The way agents are marketing this thing ehn. Just deceiving people upandan.

Unfortunately Most of our People will think you don't want them to come here. Visit to work Perm is like 1 in 1000 chance. Agents will keep eating Good grin

Outside there apartment .. aesthetic laws governing outside views

Despite the fact there is no basis in law for banning drying laundry outside, that doesn’t stop certain landlords and housing developers from writing it into their contracts.

In fact, there have been reports of housing developers trying to ban residents from drying clothing in their gardens because they believe that it compromises the aesthetics of the development. Concerningly, this has been written into the agreements of both tenants and homeowners.

It's a fact that some Landlords/Agents put that clause up in the contracts BUT no Landlord/Agent/Council can fine you for drying clothes outside in the UK

I said major city... Major is the key word

https://inthewash.co.uk/laundry-and-ironing/is-drying-clothes-outside-illegal-uk/

**the govt does not fine people for drying clothes outside but some Landlords do not want that because they want the housing environment to look tidy.

From the article
In a word, no. There is no law currently in the UK that bans people from drying clothing in their own gardens. However, that does not (unfortunately) stop some landlords and housing developers from trying to impose their own rules.

In UK and also UAE they fine anyone with cloths displayed outside in major city

No one dines anyone for drying clothes outside in major cities. The landlord just put it in their tenancy stuffs but it's not been imposed. No Landlord can fine you for drying clothes outside anywhere in UK.

Seriously? What will the job title do for you?

Will you begin to pursue roles in that field because someone got a job in it?

Some might say that mindset is what what leads to a concentration of our people in some particular lines of work when there are others.

Or will you take the lessons and apply them to your own field regardless of what it is?

Absolutely nothing to all your questions. BUT what will sharing do to the individual? Will people take their job because they share?

I was lost in my career when I migrated from Nigeria, someone shared their job info on this platform, the person did not only shared all the details but sent their personal info which helped to get a higher position that field even higher than theirs.

Another person shared their full details on another thread, the person even referred my spouse for a six figure job in canada.

When I was leaving the UK, the person took my place immediately as they were available to relocate to another part of UK .
Some of us have old uncles that hid infos of how they relocated years and years back, today there are thousands of places to get loans to travel out.

Have you checked @Ticha posts? Have you talked personally with baba lexus?

If you can't answer a question because its too personal, you can ignore the post. Don't mock the person. lipsrsealed

Well, everyone is not the same. Peace.

Yes, I was a student, just graduated. But trying to date here has been a struggle session. And even though I dated a white girl briefly, I don't see myself settling down with one, I prefer Nigerian girls but the ones I have met here have an attitude kinda like they are better than you.

I don't have much rn i.e car house etc and currently interviewing for full time jobs but I don't think that should deter me from finding love. But I guess I am just not lucky.

Bro, it's not you, it's the girls and I don't blame them as well. I had this experience while hustling for papers in the UK, until canada PR saved me

9ja girls with PR/Citizens hardly give student chances cos the first thing that comes to their mind is you want to use them to sort papers.

If you're looking for love, find a student like you, hustle your PR together. No waste your time.

Lose your cool na and get "administered" by Canadian law. Even with all the hullabaloo about LGBTQIA+, I'll always treat anyone of them I meet with maximum respect! It's their choice and, as far as I know, it's not illegal in the society.

It's not illegal, but they should not force it down people's throat. Na trans people worst pass.... guys and lesbos don't shout.
