Computers / Re: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by AliciaALI: 10:02am On Apr 10, 2017
Freiden:
Good Morning guys. I bought a Dell Elite book from a friend. Originally 4gb RAM, but he added to the RAM to make it 6gb. After purchasing the laptop, i didnt bother formatting it since he has nothing on it. But then i noticed, the mozzila browser on it wouldn't work, i tried unistalling it, it wouldn't uninstall....i downloaded revo uninstaller purposely to remove the bad mozzila browser, when i tried installing the revo uninstaller, i was told 'part of the files is missing' then i noticed the keyboard too was malfunctioning...so it appeared the PC is infected.

Solution us to format the HDD. So i proceeded to formatting.

When i tried formatting, i noticed the PC is locked to an Administrative password and CD & USD options werent checked/ticked.....which makes formatting the HDD on that PC impossible. So someone suggested i format it externally. And thats where the problem started. I removed the HDD placed it in another PC, formatting it was successful. Then i removed it and placed in my PC...turned my PC on...but the PC wouldn't boot completely.....when it reaches the point where i am suppose to enter my password (if i have one) or enta (if i dont av a password) it hangs there. I restarted the PC...still wont boot completely.

ABEG....WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS?

Have you tried to use some hard drive cloning software to fix it? I mean, clone a working Windows and restore it in this computer in its safe mode.

Very true indeed! Especially the first tip. Once my brother had a computer crash, unluckily without a single backup image, he lost everything in the computer, most of them are paper and images for work, so he takes months to rebuild them, having little sleep every day. I recommend you to have a look at backup software, good one to keep and backup.
Phones / Re: Partitioning Internal Storage To Achieve Link2sd Mounting by AliciaALI: 10:38am On Mar 23, 2017
I don't know if there is a tool there supporting partition smartphone internal,
But why on earth you don't partition sd card with some more common partition software? It's way easy. undecided

Thanks, she is sometimes very disturbing, kind share tip indeed. wink
Will try it immediately, haha~ Will Cortana miss me? grin Oh, one more tip to backup computer, an application called Backupper, will deliver much help. Alternative to acronis, it's a simpler tool.

Yes. The OS embedded with updates. You can use it for clean install (formatting) as well

Or you can simply clone, or backup updates by file sync update files. Then you can save a lot of tedious works.

Totally agree, good recommendation, it's still trendy, man. And an easy application like AOMEI free backup software will deliver a hand to fast finish NAS backups.

Hi, to free up computer space, why not have a try on AOMEI partition assistant? You can resize, expand, delete, create partition.
Computers / Re: 8 Common Computer Issues And How To Solve Them by AliciaALI: 7:05am On Jan 22, 2017
Most are reasonable tips. Computer goes to abnormal statues at few times. And backup computer to external hard drive is very crucial in keeping docs safe, which I think it's safer than backup to cloud. That's the lesson that many of us learn.
Computers / Re: How To Format Hard Drive With Windows 7,8,8.1,10 by AliciaALI: 8:15am On Dec 22, 2016
Nicely done and useful tips! Any chance you've ever tried with some partition freeware which is more convenient to run the operations? I guess you use Windows disk tool all the time, and you may lose substantial time on tedious operations.

I recommend you to read how to format partition for reference, it's not that hard to do it. I formerly wanted to use your way to format but failed, then I searched and learned this way, and it saves much time and works.
Computers / Re: Easy Way To Repair A Corrupted Memory Card Using Cmd - NCT by AliciaALI: 9:19am On Dec 07, 2016
Seriously? An easy way to to repair a memory card is by using cmd command? Man, it's definitely not an easy solution. DOS system is not popular now.

I truly don't think there is any way to repair a physical broken memory and read their data fully. Some data must be lost caused by machine damages. So if there is some solution, I must say it's by backing up data beforehand. I personally love a pc backup software, which automatically save complete computer data to my external harddrive. One time I faced with a computer failure, the backup image save my ass.
Computers / Re: We Recover data from Faulty Hard drives, flash drives, SD cards etc by AliciaALI: 5:09am On Nov 21, 2016
I think it's more common to restore data from a backup image. A backup freeware fully supports backup and restore disk data on any Windows. Backup data to external harddrives can save us all from any faulty.
