. To the best of my understanding of Sharia'h as far as the issue of marriage is concerned. There are four critical stages involved, 1. The offer which can come from either the man (as in the case of Ali RAA to Fatima RAA) or the woman (as in the case on Khadijah and the prophet SAW).
2. Acceptance
3. Parental or guardian's consent, and finally the
4. The dowRy which culminates into Nikkah. May Allah grant us deep understanding.
