I am blaming the two sides , they should negotiate rather than playing politics with education .
Also the request of ASUU is much, where do they want federal government to get 1.1trillion naira.

Educational sector is very important, but we have other sectors too.
The two of them should consider the innocent students.

Business / Popular Transport Union Leader Die In Lagos by Alubarika1234(m): 4:39pm On Aug 29, 2022
Tension In Lagos Communities Over Death Of Transport Union Leader

There was confusion and panic on Sunday afternoon as suspected cult members killed the Mile 12 Branch Chairman of the Lagos State Park Management Committee, Sulaimon Lawal, popularly known as Ariku.

Suspected loyalists and colleagues of the slain transport union member went on a rampage at Owode Elede, Mike 12, Ketu Owode Onirin and other parts of the community attacking residents and passers-by.

Shops were hurriedly closed as residents and passers-by scampered into different directions as an armed group of boys suspected to be colleagues of the slain Ariku went on a rampage.

The image-maker in charge of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the killing to the Nigerian Tribune and added that the deceased chairman died as a result of a clash between cult groups in the area.

A source who pleaded anonymity while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune under the condition of anonymity said that Ariku was coming from his house in the Ikorodu area of the state when he was killed by suspected cultists.

The source also added that the death might not be unconnected with the cult clashes between rival cult groups in the area .

It was gathered that the deceased Ariku who was a former member of the NURTW chairman in the area was on a motorcycle when he was shot to death.

The source said: “He was the branch Chairman of the Lagos State Park Management Committee in Mile 12. He was formerly a member of the NURTW.”

The source added that “he was from Mile 12. He was born and bred there. He was killed at Owode Elede. He was on a bike when he was killed.

“He had two houses. One in Mile 12 and another one in Ikorodu. He was on a bike coming from Ikorodu to Mile12 when the boys attacked him.”

Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police told the Nigerian Tribune that “somebody was killed. I don’t have the details of his identify yet.

“We have deployed our personnel there and normalcy has been restored,” the police spokesperson said.

Politics / See The Big Step ATIKU Take In Order To Win 2023 Election by Alubarika1234(m): 4:30pm On Aug 29, 2022
A former Governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, on Monday, formally returned to the opposition People Democratic Party (PDP) after a spell at the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP).

Mr Shekarau moved to the NNPP with thousands of his supporters on 18 May, following a disagreement with the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, over the control of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

The former governor was one of the politicians who formed the APC in 2013.

He was a member of the PDP when he was elected the governor between 2003 and 2011.

The former governor announced his defection from the NNPP at his residence in Kano at an event attended by the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, and governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa.

At the event, Mr Shekarau said he has written to inform the leadership of the NNPP of his intention to leave the party.

“Myself and thousands of my followers have defected to the People Democratic Party, and are now bona fide members of the PDP,” he said.

“I have formally written to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that I am no longer a senatorial candidate under the NNPP.

[b]The former governor said he will work to ensure the success of the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Atiku, not only in Kano but in all the states of the federation.

Mr Shekarau was subsequently registered as a member of the PDP by the national chairman of the party, Mr Ayu.

“It is my happiest day because Kano is strategic to the success of the party,” Mr Ayu remarked at the event.

He said the party is more interested in Mr Shekarau because he is a selfless leader who believes in teamwork and who abandoned his senatorial ambition to satisfy his people.

“The PDP always believed in teamwork and will never be an individualistic entity of any person,” Mr Ayu said.

Governors at the event include Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; Darius Ishaku of Taraba State; and the National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu; and members of the party’s Board of Trustees led by Walid Jibril.

Other dignitaries are former Vice President, Namadi Sambo; former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mahdi Aliyu, and former Minister of Transport, Idris Umar; Ahmad Babba-Kaita, Senator for Katsina North District, and former lawmakers, Dino Melaye, and Shehu Sani.

Politics / Another Hope For Abba Kyari by Alubarika1234(m): 4:23pm On Aug 29, 2022
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, dismissed an application the Federal Government filed for permission to extradite the detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, to the United States of America, USA, to face trial over his alleged involvement with a notorious internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

The court, in a judgement that was delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo, held that the extradition application FG filed through the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, was “incompetent and bereft of merit”.

Justice Ekwo held that the AGF, Malami, SAN, being the Chief Law Officer of the country, ought to be aware that the Extradition Act, forbade the surrendering of a defendant that is already facing trial before a competent court in the country.

The court wondered why the AGF approached the court with the extradition application when he was equally the one that issued FIAT to the National Drug Law Enforcement, NDLEA, to prosecute DCP Kyari on drug related charges.

The AGF could not say that he was not aware of the pending proceeding against the defendant which was entered against him by the NDLEA”, Justice Ekwo added.

He said the law was clear that Kyari, having been docked before a court of competent jurisdiction in the country, “shall not be surrendered until such case has been discharged either by his conviction or acquittal”.

Consequently, the court held that the extradition request was incompetent and deserved to be dismissed.

It will be recalled that the court had on June 3, reserved the matter for judgement, after it heard from FG’s lawyer, Mr. Pius Akutah, and that of the embattled DCP, Mr. Nureni Jimoh, SAN.

While FG maintained that it had met all condition precedents for the suspended DCP to be sent to the US to answer to a criminal charge that is pending against him, on the other hand, Kyari, challenged the legal competence of the extradition request against him.

The Pastor has proven that he doesn't know what he is talking about. He was asked a very simple question, "Where is Heaven?" but he wanted to be smart and so avoided it by talking to an imaginary crowd of fellow delusional fantasists going to same wonderland like him.

This is the problem with religion. It portrays what it does not know but can never answer . Before one can go to heaven, the person has to know where it is. You can't go to a nonexistent place. Nobody knows what happens after death. Anybody that tells you otherwise is propagating an agenda.

When you visit https://uptownerd.com/category/consciousness-2/ you will see how all the lies of religion are being exposed for what they're. As a seeker of truth, you don't want to miss this fundamental knowledge about the world and the self.

Politics / 5 Safety Tips When Travelling Along Kaduna-abuja Expressway by Alubarika1234(m): 12:49pm On Apr 24, 2022
The Kaduna-Abuja expressway is one of the most dangerous roads in the country at the moment, not just because of it’s bad road, but also because of the frequent kidnappings by bandits on the road. As a lot of people would be going through the road especially now that the train isn't working, I’d be sharing with you 5 secrets to safe travelling along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

1) Avoid night journeys along the road : A lot of people prefer night journeys to day journeys, but for the Kaduna-Abuja road, night journey shouldn’t be a preference. It’s mostly at night that the bandits and kidnappers carry out their plans on the road, especially as the security personnels on the road would have reduced.
If you can’t make your journey during the day, schedule the journey for the following day, rather than travelling through the road at night. Remember the train attack that happened weeks ago at the Kaduna-Abuja railway, it was a night attack, it didn’t happen during the day.

2) Always travel in group along the road: Even while traveling through the road in daytime, make sure to travel in groups. By groups I don’t mean group of people, but group of cars. Don’t be a loner. Make sure that vehicles are always in front of your vehicle and also behind you. Once you notice that there are no vehicles in sight ahead of you, make a pause and wait for a while till you can assume that all is well.

3) Make sure your car is in good condition before travelling: Now this is very important. Before travelling on that road, run a total checkup on your car to ensure that it is in good condition. This is because in the event that your car breaks down on the road, you’d not only be stranded, but you’d also be prone to attack or kidnap, especially if it happens in a secluded area.
If you happen to have a flat tire, move on with it until you get to a safe place, before you change it. If there is a complete breakdown such that you can’t move on with the car, call for help immediately. Do not hesitate.

4) Be wary of checkpoints: Both the Police and the Army setup checkpoints along the road, but some of these bandits and kidnappers have been known to disguise as either the Police or Army by setting up their own checkpoints. Therefore be wary of them. Before you get to a checkpoint, make sure a good number of vehicles are ahead of you.

5) Be focused and be prayerful : Don’t be distracted by either your passengers or your travel partners, but be focused and always look ahead of you while driving. Also be prayerful, committing your journey in the hands of God.
