Dear Prospective Candidates, my name is Dr Awaka, Director for Admission UNIZIK. It is no longer news that the University has released the much awaited Admission List for the 2016/2017 academic session. I want to congratulate those who made it so far and to inform those who are not lucky yet that it is well.

Please kindly note the following below;

1. The only factor that can guarantee your admission
is satisfying the Federal Government admission
requirements for Merit, Catchment and citizenship of
education disadvantaged states.
2. Not all professors, lecturers or admission staff is
empowered to give you admission. If you give money
to just anybody for such purpose, you did so at your own risk and you are on your own.
3. Many candidates denied themselves admission the
day they registered their UTME. The choice of
institution, course and subject combination you
made that day is the prime factor that determines
your admission.
4. In case you fall among the unlucky ones this year,
next year prefer only the institutions and courses
that your brain capacity can be friendly with. If you
know that you can't made high scores both in UTME
and Post-UTME, there is no need to prefer federal
universities and highly competitive courses.
5. If you are from education advantaged states such
as Anambra, Imo, Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo, kindly note
that if you must be admitted, you must perform far
better than candidates of other states even if you
prefered a university located in your home state.
Therefore, extra effort and performance is expected
from you.

6. Finally, candidates who have not been admitted yet result should contact the office of the Director for Admission for possible alternative and advice.

A former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Darius Ishaku,
Thursday night emerged the winner of the Taraba State Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the governorship primary
election held at the party national headquarters in Abuja. He
polled 170 votes.
Earlier, the former acting governor of the state, Garba Umar,
had stepped down.
Musa John, also stepped down.
Umar later clinched the party’s senatorial ticket for the state
northern senatorial district.
Ishaku, who is largely seen as a consensus candidate is from
Takum Local Government Area of the state, has been an
advocate of power to the southern senatorial district.
Delegates from the 16 local government areas of the state were
in attendance.
