A Room in Sharja/Alnahada which to the best of my knowledge is the cheapest cost between 1,300-1,500 AED Sewa/Bills excluded.

Whenever I have the chance, I can upload Room, Bed Space and Partition here so that you see how it’s looks like.

Best Of Luck

Thank you

You are tired of Nigeria and you think running to the Arab world where you will be treated like a slave or like crap is the answer ba?

I guess you didn't see that video that went viral of a young Kenyan lady who went to Dubai to work and her employer began sexually harassing her despite him being a married man. She had to run away and made a video where she was asking us to pray for her. It was a very disheartening video to watch.

There aren't many job opportunities for Black Africans in Dubai except you want to work as a house maid where you will be asked for sex from arab men. If prostitution is not what you wish to do, then don't go to Dubai.

You can't work in the hospitality industry in Dubai when you don't even have Dubai work experience. Besides, the hospitality industry worldwide and that includes Dubai has been greatly affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is still raging on.

Why can't you sell cooked food like fried akara, yam and sweet potatoes with akamu? Do you know how much those that are into akara frying make? Raining season has come to an end now. Find some good spot and fry akara. There is dignity in labour.

Thank you

Good evening people,

Sorry to bore you but I'm kind of tired of naija and I want to relocate to Dubai to work by January. I've just started making my enquiries from a friend over there and what he told me is quite discouraging. Does it mean that there are no girls doing legit work over there or is he just trying to discourage me? Pls people living in Dubai and people that have been there should please help me out. Below are the screenshots of what he told me.

you're really a strong person, i so much admire your strength and will to be independent in a humble way. I pray God make a way for you.
Regarding staying alone. The problem is you're vulnerable to all these wicked people going around but to a large extent it depends on where you stay. If you stay in a compound that is not isolated and where you are in friendly terms with your neighbors. I mean those kind of neighbors that can look out for you. Then you should be just fine.

Regarding what you are doing. Why not consider going back to school or learning a skill?

Yes, I'll go back to school soon...part time though .. Thank you

My dear
Your story is not rare to find, but the issue in contest is the fact that you are a woman.

And so there are many things that if not handled properly would make the story sour and very unpleasant

I really think you need a roomie( female) that would stay by your side Because it's risky to stay all by yourself.

I can help in my own way, That's if you need it,not by force or a must.
Chat me up 07032301067.

Help to get a roommate or what? Make me understand

Family / Living Alone At 23, As A Single Lady, A Bad Idea Or Not? by AmIaYahooGirl(f): 11:03am On Jun 06, 2020
Hello Nls,
I'm not really someone who listens to what people say but I just want to share this so that y'all can air your views.

I'm a young girl, 23 and an orphan, dropped out of school and came to Lagos to make ends meet. When I first came to Lagos, I stayed with a married female cousin of mine, along the line, the husband started making advances to me which I politely declined. He got angry and told his wife to throw me out of the house, and yes she did.

I was thrown out of the house without anywhere to go and as someone who has survived losing both parents at such a young age, I literally lived and survived in the streets. Did all sorts of menial jobs, hawked purewater, soft drinks, worked in a bar and all that before I finally got an apartment.

The story isn't quite necessary but when I get talking with people and I tell them that I stay alone, next thing I'll hear is "you're too young to stay alone... it's not a good idea...blah blah blah. Some older woman even told me to go back to my cousin's house and beg them so I can continue staying with them, another told me that it's better I stay with my boyfriend than staying alone.

I really don't understand all these talks, like despite all I've been through, isn't staying alone the best option? Or is there something wrong with staying alone as a single young lady?

Your humble opinion is needed, thanks
