Good morning Sarrki, I see you have found original coffee to wake you up . I warned you severally since December 2015 that nothing good can come out of a Buhari govt not because I hate him ( infact I was long time supporter before he became president so much even a teenager I used to write him letters urging him not give up in contesting because I thought only he had the solution) but by December 2015 I came to the realization that Buhari didn't have the capacity, Intelligence, will and vision to deliver anything positive for this country and I Immediately started my campaign against him especially after I went back to research his stint as Military ruler where I found out to my greatest chagrin it was a total disaster , I warned people like you severally but you would not heed and you said let's give him time but in reality it wasn't no amount of time was going to make a character who didn't have capacity to deliver to get anywhere like no amount of time will make keke Napep win a formula one race like no amount of time will allow Danfo driver lift an Airbus a320 into the sky without the right training capacity ...It good thing your eyes have opened even though very late after so much damage has been done by the very inept man ...I always say Buharis 18 months misrule in the 80s took Nigeria almost 30 years to try to even fix so imagine how many years 8 years of Buhari damage will take to fix maybe 3 generation maybe four ..

The changes to the UK visa regime he alluded to happened under the gap-toothed General and not the current one, whose performance is best characterised as lacklustre.

The thrust of IND's policy throughout the 1980s was to continue to reassure public and political opinion that the numbers of those settling in the UK was under control and to try and take the heat out the immigration issue. The emphasis on settlement statistics remained the most important statistical indicator until the steep rise in asylum numbers in the early 1990s.

The pressures on the inbound controls presented by the growth in numbers and rates of refusal for some nationalities meant that, by 1986, there was increasing pressure for new visa requirements. On 1 September 1986, new visa restrictions were announced for India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Ghana. For reasons which are unclear the visa restrictions did not come into force until 15 October (23 October for Ghana). The ensuing panic over the weeks in between the announcement and implementation of the new rules brought Heathrow Airport to a standstill and the evening television news bulletins contained footage of hundreds of detainees camped in the main arrivals hall at Terminal 3 awaiting processing.[27]

Mr. Waddington No record of sponsors' addresses is maintained centrally. Of the passengers arriving at the Heathrow and Gatwick airports from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Ghana and Nigeria since 1 October 1986 who are currently detained, three are known to have sponsors residing in Newham.

§Mr. Tony Banks asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many visitors arriving at Heathrow and Gatwick airports between 6 and 15 October from the five visa countries gave an address of a sponsor living in the London borough of Newham.

§Mr. Waddington The information requested is not available.

§Mr. Tony Banks asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what countries and organisations were officially notified of the visa requirements for India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ghana and Nigeria prior to 15 October, and which of those countries and organisations expressed (a) support and (b) opposition.

Gwilym:
For everyone shouting They take their children abroad...here are some points.

(N.B- I am not defending Kalu, and am VERY HAPPY he is in jail. May he stay there )

1.School fees in the UK for unviersities are 9000 pounds for citizens, 12000 pounds and above for foreigners.(except in Scotalnd where it is free for Scots)

2.In the US, for unviersites, fees range between 3000 dollars and as high as 60000dollars.

3.In Nigeria, fees are less than 500 dollars yearly in government universites.

As a result, our unviersites are chornically underfunded.

4.Funding for educaiton in Nigeria is less than one trillion per annum. For developed countries, funding for university is in the tens of trillions alone. (Nigeria spent 3 billion dollars on education alone. Canada spent 70 billion dollars on primary education alone).

The truth is, if we want good education, we need money. More than what we budget for. And we cannot be expecting 20000 dollars worth of education from fees of 200 dollars. It is not possible.

Yes our parents went to school for free....when the total number of students in one university was less than 5000 students. That same university is now carrying 50000 students, if not more.

And where are we going to find the money?? When we are spending the money we could have used for educaiton on National Assembly, Presidential Jet, and even the waste called fuel subsidy, which people are using to chop. And even then, it is not enough.

Plus, we keep on voting the same old, whether PDP or APC.

How much do home students pay in Germany?
Why refer us to just two Anglophone countries that help buttress your point?

Tuition fees in Sweden
Students from the EU/EEA, other Nordic countries, and Switzerland enjoy free Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees if they study at public universities. Things are different with PhD courses, which are free for all international students.

Tuition fees in Finland
If you’re from the EU/EEA, you don’t have to pay tuition for studying a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finland.

Tuition fees in France
Thanks to very affordable tuition fees, it’s not surprise that so many international students apply for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in France. Public universities charge both EU and non-EU students between 170 and 650 EUR/year, depending on the discipline and the level of study (Bachelor’s, Master's or PhD).

Tuition fees in Germany
Most Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Germany are free at public universities for all students regardless of their country of origin.

Gandollaar:
Efcc recently dropped the charges against her, so what's the OP talking about?

Liar, liar, pants on fire...

November 27, 2019

EFCC Has Not Dropped Charges Against Diezani, Others

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has been drawn to reports currently circulating in the social media, purporting that the Commission had dropped the criminal charge against a former minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke and other persons indicted for money laundering.

The Commission enjoins members of the public to disregard the report which is false and misleading. At no time did the Commission withdraw the charge, which is still before Justice Muslim Hassan of the Federal High Court, Lagos.

The only development was that the Commission took a prosecutorial decision to split the initial 14-count charge to enable separate arraignment of the defendants following a spate of adjournments that prevented the arraignment of the defendants more than one year after the case was listed.

The charges were first filed on November 28, 2018. Since then, every attempt to arraign the defendants had been frustrated by one excuse or the other. In more than four times that the matter was called for arraignment, it was either that Lanre Adesanya was sick and bedridden in a London Hospital or Nnamdi Okonkwo was hypertensive and on admission in a hospital or StanleyLawson had had a domestic accident and could not appear in court.

It was clear that these recurring excuses were ploys to frustrate the arraignment. To get around this, the Commission took a deliberate decision, which was disclosed in open court, to separately prosecute the defendants in different courts. This explains why the four count amended charge brought against Dauda Lawal, a former executive director of First Bank, did not include other defendants, except the two who are at large( Diezani Alison-Madueke and Ben Otti). And the ingredients of the offence stated therein only pertains to Lawal’s involvement in the alleged crime, which is the receipt of $25million from the $153million 2015 Peoples Democratic Party presidential election slush fund.

The non-inclusion of other defendants in the original charge in the amended four count charge does not mean that have been exonerated by the Commission of any criminal allegation.

You're oozing so much emotions than a wet cùnt.

To begin with, Nigerian traders offer cheaper goods than their Ghanaian counterparts which earned them the unwarranted jealously from your traders union. So close Nigerian shops in Ghana and watch prices of commodities skyrocket. Unlike Nigeria, Ghana is replaceable. They can trade in Gambia, Ivory Coast, Senegal and many other West African nations that are your economic peers. Ghana is not in any position to engage Nigeria in a trade war.

As for your richer in per capita basis empty taunt, I laugh in wazobia. Most Ghanaians suffer from insecurity and envy. The almighty China is ranked 73rd in GDP per capita. Even the US is not even the number 1. Equitoria Guinea holds the largest GDP per capita in Africa and barely anyone envies her. She's neither a commercial hub or an influential member in the subregion or continent. Nigeria generate enough economic output by their huge population which in turn makes it a commercial hub to influence trade and policies far beyond its borders.

By Nigeria''s economic output we generate so much money 10times more than the rest of West Africa.

You mean Ghana is a DISTANT 2nd biggest economy in West Africa 6 times smaller than her intimidating neighbour, Nigeria? Kikikikiki!!!

When the general Ghanaian population learn how to kowtow before her Nigerian overlord, then maybe we can look down and consider your plight.

You're not even our immediate neighbours and yet Ghana makes more noise than Benin and Togo.

Strange people plagued with uncontrollable envy!

It does appear Mr "Invictus" has been in the scamming business for quite some time.

The records also contained hundreds of emails and chat messages with possible co-conspirators. These messages involved extensive discussions about creating fraudulent web pages, designed to trick unsuspecting users into providing their account credentials. Many of the emails also showed the apparent fruits of their efforts, with lists of over 600 email account passwords, as well as copies of passports and driver's licenses that were likely stolen to be used in identity theft schemes

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the arrest of the senator and his orderly by an investigative team set up by the Police Force headquarters in Abuja.

Investigations are currently onoing at the Federal Capital Territory police command into the alleged attack on a sales girl by a serving senator in Abuja.

The news of the attack went viral after a video recorded by the Close Circuit Television (CCTV), installed in the shop was shared on the social media, an act which is said to have embarrassed the police authorities.

The Police force says they are doing everything within their powers to restore dignity to the force, following the conduct of the police orderly attached to the senator.

According to Police sources, the incident actually happened in a sex-toy shop in Abuja, where the senator had gone to make purchases.

The video which has been circulating the internet, shows the angry senator beat up the sales girl, and ordered his police orderly to take her away.
