Thank you sir. But my school resumes by 16 January and the earliest date in Abuja consular office is 4th of January.. That's the problem am having right now.

my school refused to send an email copy of my i20, but I persuaded them to send me the SEVIS number which they did. My questions are:

1- can I fill ds 160 and book an interview date without my i20 hard copy? 
2- I do I fill request for an expedited appointment at the Abuja consulate office.? 

Note- my i20 should be in Nigeria in the next 4-5 business days. Thanks for your contribution.

Hello, my admission has just been approved. The problem am having is that, I applied for masters in Civil Engineering but I was admitted for masters in computer science.. Please, is this a mistake and what should I do?

But the international admission office told me that the department would decide yesterday, but I'm still seeing pending on my application status.. Just worried tho.

[Thanks much... ]this isn't a guarantee that you will get admitted it simple means that either they received huge volume of applications or are really scrutinizing the ones they have. Graduate admissions committee are filled with faculty who either "publish or perish", so between Graduate supervision, grant chasing, conference talks and paper writing a lot of faculty are quite busy, especially if they are young, so the admission review may take longer, but if you're confident enough that you beat their averages by a long shot, then you can remain hopeful.[/quote]

Hello everyone in the house.. Thanks for the wealth of information you all are spreading. I have an issue with the university I applied to, the name of the university is California state University Sacramento, I applied on 21st of August and till now, whenever I check my admission status, it showing 'pending department decision'.. I am really beginning to lose hope. I sent an email to the graduate admissions on 30th of October, the reply I got is the attached photo.. Please, should still be hopeful or just forget about the admission.. Thanks in anticipation for your contributions..
