And even if the guy with 256 is not from catchment area,he might be the one that scored highest from his state
Education / Re: Abu Zaria Admission Threads by Batifeori: 6:47am On Dec 02, 2017
Sokovilla:
That isn't my problem my problem is why 256 had admission before 281? Is the admission for students done with alphabetical order too?
But,why are u shouting 281 upandan here sef? Are we admission officers here? I have friends with 298,300,300+ but,are yet to be offered admission.
2 things might be involved, 1:- Since you are not from the catchment area, someone from your state might have scored 282,283, and upward. Which has made u to be exempted from the merit list, since only one person is taking from each states that are not catchment to ABU
2:- Or they are Yet to get to your turn since the CAPS thing is a gradual process.
The guy with 256 might be from the catchment areas or ELDS or they are actually in his own turn.
so,all u need is prayer

I get it, y'all wantu get into school and all.

But working yourself up is not the solution, it never is.

The truth is, only two things can happen.

You're admitted
You're not admitted

There's no 3rd variable, and we all know this. So, why raising unnecessary attention and stressing yourself?

Abu hasn't given even spirit admission you're stressing yourself over caps admission. You think that once jamb gives you admission it's secured? Lol, I laugh at your naivety.

Jamb would only advise ABU to give you admission, based on merit, doesn't mean ABU would give you. So y'all should sit, and can dafuq down biko angry angry angry

I think Barrckodam is still lagging behind in terms of information and the new innovation called CAPS. And if you are not lagging behind, it is either you are pained in the ass for not getting admitted on CAPS(or maybe your Relative),or you are just an Ignorant.
Maybe you should go back and use the search engine to find out How the CAPS will work. Those who are getting admitted on CAPS are already admitted by their various schools also, cos it was the schools who sent names of the successful candidates to jamb for ratification/approval through CAPS before jamb notify the students about it.
And I think you should read the admission Disclaimer released by unilorin to have more knowledge about CAPS. If u are not well informed...................

Education / Re: Could This Be The Highest JAMB Score From Northern Nigeria? by Batifeori: 9:35pm On May 28, 2017
How I wish I am a Northerner. I always wish I am one cos I love them whole-hearthedly. Infact I chose katsina and gusau last year as my school of choice cos I have this believe that "HAUSA NO DEY GO SCHOOL",but to my highest surprise,I was left drooping when I saw them trooping out in thousand(s)for admission screening, with good o'level result and good jamb score. I was denied admission cos they(Northerners)bested me in jamb score and in all ramification. I still chose ABU,zaria this year, with jamb score of 285 to study political science cos I want to be among NORTHERNERs,and become one myself. May Allah help us all.

Education / Re: Things I Learnt From The New Clarification Made By Jamb by Batifeori: 1:10pm On Jul 18, 2016
I think the posting is mainly about the institution carrying capacity and number of applicant in a department.
WHY?:
Cos I chose federal university,dutsin-ma,katsina and I have been posted. I scored 186 in jamb and I used awaiting result, plus I am from lagos. In my department which is political science, only 400 plus applied for that course and infact, that is the only department with the highest number of applicants.
I think the problem lies with the candidates. Imagine schools like ABU,UI,UNN,OAU and others, which their carrying capacity is not more than 7,000 at most, but over 60,000 thousand applied to such school. Where would the rest go if only 7,000 were to be admitted? And what about the money they paid for the post utme?. I jst can't understand how a sane and a serious person, who want admission at all cost will still apply to a school where they have already pass their carrying capacity. Jst imagine only the department of medicine and surgery in ABU with over 10,000 applicants and somebody with 245 jamb score is complaining of not been posted, when there are people with 290 in that same department. Same goes to other over hyped schools. I think Its high time we start blaming ourselves for making wrong decision, instead of blaming everything on jamb,Fg and the institutions. We can make all this newly established and all this lowly rated institutions great like OAU,UNILAG,ABU and others,by contributing to their development with our academic standard.
